I'm warming to Darnell. I like his 'no one owes me anything' outlook on life despite his disability. He has a good head on his shoulders, he may need to control his temper a little bit better though.

Darnell says he doesn't want to be treated special by anyone, and I respect this, but would he have got into the Big Brother House if he wasn't Albino?

Unfortunately I don't think he would have, but I'm glad he did.

Yeah i agree. Darnell is a cool character. I think Jen was a bit out of order trying to have a go at him earlier on the show.. He was right.

I like him up to this point. He seems pretty calm most of the time. I liked how, towards the end of the Jen argument, all he could seem to do was compliment her. Clearly charmed her into stopping the argument!

Darnell's definitely not the type anyone can stay mad at for long. He's just so laid back and chill.

I honestly can't see why he isn't more of a favorite...he's one of the most genuine in the house while still being vocal, he isn't a wannabe....so far from it he hasn't even seen BB before!

Darnell's my favorite to win.

Darnell will not win because he is American.

Jermaine and Dirk almost won as Americans...? Shouldn't country of origin not matter? Or are we banning Kat from the win too?

I think its different for Celeb BB in that people already have an opinion of them before they get in the house. That said they didn't actually win, but I get your point about them coming close

Country of origin shouldn't matter but it does. I think if Darnell was British he'd be one of the favourites. A lot of people, at least where I'm from really dislike Americans, heck I'm not their biggest fan. These people will not vote for an American. This is more an anti-American thing than a non British thing, so Kat wont be effected by it.

I think its sad that nationality affects your chances, but I'm sure it does.

I disagree. I just can't see the British public voting for an American to win a British show. It's wrong but I think it happens. If Darnell wins I'll happily admit I was wrong.

i agree that a lot of british don't like americans
i personally love them

but i dont think the british public wont vote for him just because hes american
they dont like the stereotype of american
like loud and brash like janice dickinson type person
but darnell isnt that
people vote for the personality
not for the nationality

I think we're are pretty open minded in the uk. None English housemates have won before and could easily win again.

I think even if Darnell doesn't win, he'll get further than a lot of the English housemates and if you check the odds, Kat is favourite to win and she's Thai.

I think it differnet for an American than a Thai or other nationalities because there is a large minority of people in Britiain who dislike Americans. That said, I do see your point.

I'm not sure that's true. Unfortunetely, I think there is a minority of people that hate Asian people, probably more so than the number who hate Americans, yet Kat is still favourite to win.

I think Darnell has a good chance of winning. At the moment he tends to overtalk a bit if that makes sense - he wants people to warm to him and see him as one of the gang. He's quite insecure I think - understandably so. But he's decent and honest and has a touch of the Brian about him. That loveable vulnerable quality where he wears his heart on his sleeve. Brian was very intuitive which made up for his lack of clever articulation. Darnell seems to have both, so I think he'll go far.

Is being an albino a disability??? I dounbt you could claim benefits for it.

Also, although he speaks with an American accent he was born in Ipswich so would count as British anyway - surely?

I do think nationality shouldn't count anyway though, if that is the case why have someone from Thailand, Somalia and (really sorry but can't remember) where Sylvia is from??
