Within the first week of the series, media watchdog Ofcom and Channel 4 had collectively received over 300 complaints about alleged bullying from housemate Alexandra, after an argument broke out between her and the other housemates regarding oven chips.[15] Channel 4 defended its housemate selection, claiming that the production team were closely watching the housemates as they normally do to ensure the safety of the housemates.[16] The broadcaster also noted that Alexandra had been warned that her behaviour could be deemed threatening and that it was keen on preventing another situation similar to that of Celebrity Big Brother 2007 in which over 45,000 complaints were sent to Ofcom and Channel 4 about possibly racist bullying against celebrity housemate Shilpa Shetty.

The thing needed for BB9 was controversy, we got it but its not being shown in the ratings. Hopefully Alex will do abit more bullying this week and get the ratings up

It was a disgrace not playing crowd reactions into the house? Because that's what Big Brother's all about, alerting the housemates to how they're being perceived on the outside.
All this complaining from people about there being no crowd noise on eviction night is the most illogical, backward thinking, ridiculous Big Brother complaint of all time.

No it isn't.
As far as I can recall, series 1-5 were done in a studio.
Not too sure about 6.
But that'd only be 3 with the crowd reactions.
So how can BB be about alerting housemates how their percieved on the outside if the POINT of the show is for the housemates not to have any sort of contact on the outside world?

I disagree, it was always much more fun when it WAS played into the house, people making stories up, people hearing the wrong names, people hearing their own name...and their eyes nearly exploding out of their skull.
