I hate the way they treat him. They are very patronising, and to be honest, I'm surprised that Michael has allowed it. Maybe he also has a game plan. After all, he lives independantly in the community (with some help obviously) yet he's happy to appear quite helpless some of the time in the house.

Not all the time though. I had a blind workmate and she was perfectly capable of lots of things. It's insulting to blind people to portray them as completely helpless.
