A friend of mine in France captured this. It was taken on the 90th minute of the match.

A bit presumptious!

I still think its really petty though, if Scotland got through to something and we didn't I'd be supporting them all the way.

Julia L
21-06-2004, 08:48 PM
Scotland used to have a really good national team, but over the years their performance has gone downhill. It's because of all those foreign players they have in their teams, instead of having new up-and-coming Scottish talent. Apart from that, Scotland is smaller.

I'm what you would call a "true Brit" - I like all my fellow Brits (well, the nice ones!). I support all British teams in sports competitions - after all, we are one nation united. I'll be supporting every British athlete in the Olympics this summer too

Congrats to England again

In our house I am known as the jinx, so when Croatia scored last night I was sent to the garden to do some weeding etc. I was only allowed to come back in to see the replay of the goals. Still the shrubs are looking pretty good now and England won!!!!

I wonder what I can tidy up on Thursday?

Amy

Awww poor BusyBee  but how will they know that you won't see the game at the pub, you could still jinx it from there?

BusyBee

No I am safe as long as I am away from the tv in the lounge. I am allowed to watch anywhere else. I think its because I have been known to make a comment or two that hasnt gone down well and also to shout at the tv. Now its OK for them to do that, but not me.

Anyone want to join me watching in the pub - they cant see me show myself up there lol

All i can say is the ref

Kanye_West
24-06-2004, 10:00 PM
The ref could of booked a fair few of the portugese but he cringed at the thought... Fair goal the goalkeeper didnt have a clue where the ball was he was just pushing terry and campbell. The penalty spot was also terrible ive seen a better spot down on the amateur grounds. UEFA wanna be ashamed of themselves

But all i can say Ashley Cole made Ronaldo look like a school boy.

The referee's father lives in Portugal - sooooo nothing too dodgy

Also, I found this quite funny

What a game last night the ref was useless, we should have won but portugal were the best team most of the way through the match! We still SHOULD have been allowed that second goal :nono:

This piccy has been going the rounds today. And further to past posts. It WAS NOT my fault England lost. I didnt go near the tv set in the pub until I heard the shouting for goals etc and then had a sneak look. It must have been someone else doing the jinxing.:shocked:
