View Full Version : UK set to get battered by severe weather

Northern and Central areas of the country are set to battered tonight by Strong Winds and Heavy Rain as a strong depression is set to move into the country, wind speeds of up 70mph are expected along coastal areas accompanied by around 50mm of rain to some areas creating some problems with localised flooding, a combination of falling trees is expected to create hazardous driving conditions and power outages are possible as winds could be strong enough to topple plyons. A KWFS forecaster added "this is a very unusual weather event for this time of the year, some extremely heavy rainfall and strong winds looks to affect almost anywhere in the country causing damage to some structural buildings, please follow all local authorities advice and keep an eye on TV broadcasts for the latest weather warnings"

Oh cack.

It's my chore day tomorrow too... laundry (which means walking to, back, to, back to the laundrette throughout the day) and shopping which means walking around town all day with heavy bags of food.

Hope I don't blow away.

yeh most people wont notice the severe weather they will be asleep, just means youve got pop down the road in the morning bang on No.21's door and ask for your shed roof back

Experiencing it up here in Scotland. Not that its ever good, lol.

But yeah today it has turned very cold and very very rainy and windy all of a sudden whereas the day before was really sunny, warm and pleasant. Come out of the blue really.
