E4 to take a look at Big Brother selection process

By Ananova

E4 is to broadcast an hour-long show looking at the selection process for Big Brother contestants.

How Not To Get On Big Brother will be shown on May 11.

The channel will also screen some of the best and worst application videos received.

They will be shown from 2am to 2pm, up until the launch of Big Brother 3 at the end of May.

A record 150,000 hopefuls requested Big Brother application forms this year, with 10,000 videos narrowed down to 2,500 applicants to be auditioned by producers Endemol.

The show's producers are now down to the last 50 applicants, and have to cut the shortlist down to the final 12 contestants, up from last year's 10.

I gave out my video with Lee and Sophie's wedding and the video I replaced it with turned out to be defective in theat it did not record the sound :bawling:

I was hunting for a replacement old tape until I can buy a new one and found this old programme

I thought I would have ago at watching it again.

I do not know if anyone has kept it from last year, but in one of the clips of the video interviews in afternoon sessions (you did not hear the hopefuls talking), was a glimps of PJ

Then later on there was a shot of someone going down the stairs, although their face was blured it seemed to be Sandy.

I then looked at the bit where Phil Edgar Jones was interviewing people and they were dissing a failed hopeful because he mentioned his religious faith and apparently he did not drink.

How on earth did Cameron make it on to the show a year later if that was his attitude then :conf:

How interesting Sticks.

How on earth did Cameron make it on to the show a year later if that was his attitude thenYes but BB4 was after the disaster that was BB3 so they probably decided they needed something different.

They did say they were looking for nicer people for this year's, I think they went too far, and got the mix wrong again, hopefully next year they might get it right.
A good mix like BB2, seems to have been the best so far

Roll on BB5 :spin2:

There was an article a while ago which suggested that Channel 4 vetoed Endemol's initial choice of housemates because they wanted a less argumentative bunch than BB3, hence Cameron.

I think it's increasingly difficult to get people for Big Brother who will act naturally like - arguably - the first HMs of the first two (three?) series did. They all know how some housemates from previous series have been heavily criticised by the public.
