Does anyone think they should raise the prize money this year, say £100,000 for the winner or say £70,000 for the winner and maybe £30,000 for the runner up.
It would round it up to a nice figure.

Yeah I think the winner should get more considering the amount of money the show makes from the phone votes.

I guess it's not so high that the winner can overindulge though!

I agree with you about upping the prize money for the eventual winner - 10 weeks is a long time stay in that house, entertaining Britain like they do.:colour:
But I dont think any cash should be given to the runner up - the whole point is to get a winner and the money goes to onje person and one person only.
It doesnt have to go up by too much - 100, 000 - look at Survivor, they get 1 Million!:spin2::spin2::spin2::spin2:

I am gonna be a bit mean http://www.plauder-smilies.de/happy/wink2.gif and say that I don't think the prize money should be increased, or a least not increased over, say £100,000.
I think that the atmosphere between the housemates might be changed with everyone wanting to win the money too much. It could make the experience even tougher, I think, not easier.
And I don't think there should be prize money for the runners up either. That would reward the housemates who play the game and vote tactically.
However, they could increase the amount of money that all the housemates get when they are in the house or give them a fixed appearance fee.
That would let them get a share of the profits that Channel 4 and Endemol make from the show.
