BIG Brother’s gobbiest housemate Emma is to get the boot because bosses fear she is cracking up, The Sun can reveal.

She will become the second housemate to leave — even though there has been no official eviction so far.

Last night her worried mum Karen was on her way to London from her home in Oldham, Greater Manchester, to be reunited with her daughter.

Producers made the shock decision following the appalling fight in the house which saw Emma and Victor threaten to kill each other.

She had to be dragged into the house’s bedsit for her own safety and has been there on her own ever since.

Yesterday an emotional Emma burst into tears as Big Brother ignored her pleas to be let out of the bedsit and back into the house.

Last night a show insider admitted: “We are letting Emma go. Obviously both her and Victor’s behaviour was unacceptable. We gave them an official warning, alongside Marco, Nadia and Jason.

“But Emma seems to really be cracking up under the pressure and we can’t take any chances that she could lose it if she’s put back into the house again.

“We are doing this for her own sanity, and her mum is coming down to get her.”

Emma spent the day begging to be let out and promising to behave — and even offered to make up with Victor.

Unrepentant ... Victor

She told Big Brother: “I’m perfectly fine. I’m willing to forget about it. I won’t even raise my voice. I’m going to be cool as a cucumber. Please, Big Brother.”

After hours of being ignored she pleaded: “I want someone to come and talk to me, only for a couple of hours.”

Big Brother told her the housemates were asleep. But a tearful Emma sobbed: “I’m wide awake and I just want to make friends with everybody and apologise for everything.

“If anyone’s up, even if it’s Victor — and I know he is — I’ll talk to him. I won’t argue, I won’t raise my voice. There’s no point in me sat in here.”

Emma eventually went to bed after Big Brother’s repeated refusals to let her out.

Her eviction will follow that of fiery lesbian Kitten — who was thrown out for repeatedly breaking the rules.

Meanwhile, Big Brother baddie Victor bragged yesterday: “I don’t care if I’m Britain’s most hated man.”

His arrogant outburst came after he spent 40 minutes in the Diary Room with a psychologist discussing the violence which happened after a food fight got out of control on Wednesday night.

As he discussed the meeting with gay hairdresser Dan, he said: “What did they say to me? ‘How would you feel if you are Britain’s most hated man?’

“Just because you come on a game show and try and mix it up a bit, doesn’t mean you’re ********** evil. I’ll tell Davina McCall when I get there, I’ll say, ‘If they don’t like me they can all kiss my a***’.”

-----------

I wonder if emma's break down was one of the reasons why psychologist adviser resigned??

It might just be a rumour, which has been spread from the internet to the media?:conf:

I can understand why they say she should leave the house but it would be nice, if she is going, for her to be able to say goodbye to Marco, Nadia and Michelle. It's such a shame that Emma cannot stay in the house she wasn't a great fave of mine but her and Michelle did make me laugh and I often changed my opinion on her through out parts of the show so far.

LEE
19-06-2004, 07:59 AM
If she is going I think it would probably better if she didn't get chance to say goodbye to Marco, Nadia and Michelle as it might remind them of the fight and actually end up inciting more trouble. I don't mean this to be harsh on Emma, but I actually think it would be for the good of the house and she will get plenty of chances to see them again when the show is over.

Even though I don't like Emma I also feel it's said that she has got herself into this position and I hope she is OK.

If emma does leave this will knock marco and nadia down a few pegs. When they though michelle and emma had gone their confidence dropped 100%. I believe emma is the most power in their little group cus she has such a big gob and stands up for her self. If emma does leave marco michelle and nadia will struggle especially Marco. Emma can't stay forever in that Bedsit and there is NO WAY that she and the repellant Victor are going to sort it out. Both are far too stubborn.

I had enjoyed Em and Michelle in the bedsit but the fight was inevitable. However, Jay has been the biggest disappointment to me ... turning from chirpy Scot to a sour and calculating individual.

Take care of Emma someone

If Emma leaves she will go home and sit infront of the tv watching Big Brother willing Marco and Nadia on and screaming at other housemates who utter a bad word about her (even if it happens to be true), like she did in the bedsit. How sad.

From bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk (http://bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds6592.html)
Emma has been evicted from the Big Brother house, Endemol and Channel 4 have confirmed.

In a statement, the producers said:

"We don't think Emma is any more to blame for the events of Wednesday night than anyone else, but we believe this is the best course of action to ensure the welfare and safety of all the housemates, including Emma.

"The house is calm as all the other housemates appear to be working through their issues, but we're concerned that Emma's return might increase the risk of a repeat incident.

"Emma has accepted our decision."

Emma will follow "normal eviction procedures" and will be interviewed by Davina. There will not be a post-eviction press conference.

I have just received the statement that Dustmite has quoted above, officially as a press release from C4.

The house is calm as all the other housemates appear to be working through their issues, but we're concerned that Emma's return might increase the risk of a repeat incident.
I couldn't agree with C4 more on this, I think it would be a disaster for the house if Emma were to return and that all the issues that caused the fight earlier in the week would flare up again and the progress that the housemates have made since then would be ruined.

I'm glad she's leaving it's best for her as she'll go crazy if she stays in that bedsit any longer. All I can say is that I hope BB is happy with themselves look what they've created! What esle could they expect from putting people in a bedsit and letting them listen to others slagging them off?

I have just received this press release from C4

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Housemates told of Emma’s Departure from Big Brother

Following the earlier press update about Emma’s departure from Big Brother the housemates will shortly be given the following laminate from Big Brother:

Housemates

Emma will not be returning to the Big Brother house.

Big Brother appreciates that following last Wednesday’s events, the group remaining in the house have resolved many of their issues. However, Big Brother is concerned that Emma’s return may increase the risk of a repeat incident.

Big Brother does not think Emma is any more to blame for the events of Wednesday night anyone else, but believes that this is the best course of action to ensure the welfare and safety of all the housemates.

Emma would like to pass on the following message… Hi everyone, love you loads. Hope to see you soon. Lots of love and snogs, Em

I agree with their decision I have said that for most of today. I'm not saying here that I agree with what Emma did, but I still think it's a shame that Emma has gone and Slicks face proved that for me, he'll do anything to win "the game" and that's sad.

THE BULLIES HAVE WON. Victor and Jason must be over the moon or as Victor just said Result.

I dont care what BB says the HAVE made Emma out to be the villian of the piec e. Its no good saying she was no more to blame than anyone else, the others are still there.

I think when it sinks in there is going to be a lot of resentment at the way Emma has been treated.

I agree there would have been huge problems if Emma had returned, but she seems to be the one to have been picked on.

Cant wait for Victor and Jason to be up for nomination - I for one will be building up a huge phone bill to get them out.

I just hope Emma is treated well and now she is out is just left to her own devices.

Lets hope as well that the media gives her a chance and dont keep asking her for her reaction to what is going on in the house. To my mind Emma should go away on holiday for a couple of weeks to let her gradually get used to be outside. But I have a horrible feeling that the media are going to make her life hell. She need supports and again I hope she gets it.

It says on the ch4 site that she will be interviewed on sunday.I don't know if this means she's leaving on sunday or if she's already left and is coming back to be interviewed.
I didn't really like Emma but I think she deserved a proper eviction, when she thought she'd been evicted she seemed quite excited about meeting the crowds so its a shame she won't get to experience it.Its a shame for her that she wasn't evicted instead of going into the bedsit.

Oh right Rach, I was led to believe it was going to happen tonight, but I'll admit to not knowing for sure.

As for whether she should get a proper eviction with a crowd, I think it is probably a better idea that she doesn't as, even though there are a lot of people who like her, there are also a lot of people who don't, and I think she stands a fairly high chance of getting booed and I don't think she would cope with that very well at all at the moment.

Definately the right decision to send her home. She needs to be with her friends and family at a time like this when she must feel so vulnerable. A good enthusiastic reaction from an eviction crowd could do her some real good, but equally, some booing could really screw her up.

I don;t think Vic and Jay should be made out to be the bad guys though. I have no problem with people playing a "game" in the house, and the two guys have said nothing about Emma that other housemates haven't said between themselves about others.

Their open plotting is stupid, but not sufficient to brand them bullies or evil. Vic's "Slick" persona in the diary room is equally hilarious and horrific, but I don't know what he thinks he gains from it. If he played the same game, but didn't brag about it to Jay or in the diary room, people would not have such a problem with him.

I think Victor and Jason now think their behaviour was fine.

I know BB said Emma was no more to blame, but within minutes I heard Victor say 'It's a shame for her, but she has to realise she's got to pay the consequences of her actions' or something like that.

I think it is grossly unfair.

I also wonder what any one of us would do to Victor if we had heard him brand us as racist and stupid on national TV.

Poor lass.

The only thing I hope is that when she and Michelle were up for eviction, that it was she who had the most votes. Then it is fairer.

What everyone is forgetting was that the housemates were all tanked up with alcohol.

Would Emma had been such a loose cannon if there had been an alcohol ban for a few days?

I wonder if Victor is the new chosen one, like Alex was in BB3, so you can not get rid of him and the crown is awaiting him. (Well it is Big Brother gets Evil)

Would this had happened if Phil Edgar Jones had not been sidelined as a "Creative director"?

i'm not a racist or anything but you know what tv companies are like and that about racism! , i think they only booted emma because if they had just booted victor there would be an upraw of people saying that was racist what channel 4 did and all that!

Anyways i still think its unfair that emma had to leave she should of had another chance to proove herself but they never gave her the chance she has been in that bedsit for neally week. Its BBs fault that they had the fight because they knew that after her and michelle watching bb live and to see people bitching about them would make them have fight!

For once, I agree with you Sticks. Shirley is a liability.

One of the revenge tactics, though, I can see Endemol using is deliberetly ensuring that Victor is evicted next... afterall, what better way of destroying someone like him is there than having them evicted to a baying blood-thirsty mob? A nice, gracious, exit like Emma has received would have been far too good for him.
