Which country was the first to include a couple, and was there a twist involved?

Plus, how many countries have used couples and which used them the best in twists etc. Was there a country that made the couple hide their relationship through the whole series?

Hmmm... not entirely sure, but I think the first may have Big Brother 6 USA in 2005. James and Sarah, but they weren't required to keep it secret the entire series.

I think that the first couple were Coco and Katka in BB3 Germany (2001).

Claire and Craig, and Helen and Paul were never couples inside the BB house. Helen and Paul became a couple after BB, while Craig and Claire were never together. Claire did have a baby with BB1's Tom after BB though.

But the user is talking about the housemates that entered the house as couples.
