Chris Eubank has always been something of an odd one, but this story is strange even by his standards. According to reports in the press over the weekend, the former boxing champion secretly gave up his two teenage sons for adoption two years ago. Single mother Irene Hutton says she adopted Chris Junior, 18, and Sebastian, 16 (pictured here in 2004) after Chris was declared bankrupt. She now lives in Las Vegas with the boys, and says that Chris, who she met randomly in Paris, has only visited once in two years. Instead, he travels the world, staying with rich friends who’ll put him up for free – and apparently his ex-wife (and mother of the two boys) Karron also approved the double adoption. “It sounds incredible – and it is,” says Irene Hutton. “He was adamant that the entire adoption was kept secret and initially I agreed. But after almost two years of no input from him, I want the world to know what he is like.” She says she met the eccentric sportsman turned TV star when he strutted up to her at a Paris hotel with the words “Hello, I'm Christopher Livingstone Eubank. I am an ambassador.” The pair kept in touch and eventually, after a holiday in Vegas, the adoption was arranged. “They loved staying out here and it became clear that they were not happy at home and did not see a future for themselves in Britain,” she says. Chris has declined to comment about the claims. Is this the most bizarre thing ever or what?!

it was on CCBB1 that we found out just how extragavant he was and probably more so now. At least the children won't be influenced by him too much if he never sees them.

“They loved staying out here and it became clear that they were not happy at home and did not see a future for themselves in Britain,”

^ How terrible it must have been for them, living with a rich man in the 5th wealthiest country in the world. My heart goes out to them
