In response to the sounds of hell topic, I thought that I'd make a thread about urban legends in general. If you've heard a myth or story from your childhood, tell us here! It'd be fun. :joker: Here's one that always creeped me out:

Nothing that pops up, I promise.

When i was 7, i had loads of teddies at the end of my bed. (just thought i'd get that point first)
Anyways, i was at school reading and when i looked at a book my mum had, it said that a creature scratches your feet at night.
The next morning i had a sore foot cause of some scratches.
So, because i was curious i decided to go and look at the end of my bed at night...and realised that it was part of my teddy. (the tag) that scratched me....it was really scary.
More of a childhood thing than an urban legend.

On a more humorous note
Well this one (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/techno/radar.asp) is from our neck of the woods.
And this one (http://www.snopes.com/humor/nonsense/kangaroo.asp) sort of related was actually true but distorted in the telling
:joker:
Not all Urban legends are scary some are quite funny
Sadly the one about all the viewers trying to phone the number given out on Dr Who is utterly true
You could not make that up

I had a thing for having nightmares eating giant marshmellows, and every morning I'd wake up to find someone had stolen my pillow:shocked:
