Sunbeds?

What your opinion of sunbeds?

Some people have told me its really dangerous, but then i've also heard that you can only get skin cancer if you burn on the sunbed? Otherwise its fine...

Does anyone here use them and recommend??

I use them before a holiday. I suppose as long as you are fully informed about the risks then it is personal choice about whether to use them or not.

You can get skin cancer even if you don't burn. Its just a risk you have to take, just as you do out in the proper sun.

Spray tans are better though :cheer:

We've just got one ordered and it's coming tomorrow, only hiring it though, but it'll save me the trip and the money to go the sunbeds. My dad ordered it as he wants a tan but is too embarrased to go the sunbeds.

They can be dangerous, but so can everything.

My dad used to deliver rented sunbeds, apparently 3 of the popular clients contracted skin cancer in one year. Only one of them was due to "burning" on it, the other two used it to quite a minimum apparently.

After that, I wouldn't trust them. At all.

My mum and dad always use them I wouldn't though i'll stick to my spray tan :tongue:

Ive never used a sun bed, i would just burn anyway. Im too pale. I do tan a bit, but i burn first!
