View Full Version : Why does anyone like Rebecca and Luke?

Whilst most people seem to dislike these two, they do have their fans, and I'm trying to figure out just what people like about them.
Acceptable answers are not that they bring 'fun' - their constant sitting around and bitching is not fun, and if they're hilariously fun, I guess that means Jennifer was as well?
Saying they're entertaining doesn't work either, because that doesn't mean you like them. I found Charley entertaining, but I never supported her, I just wanted her in the house for longer.
So why the hell does anyone like these two individuals that don't seem to have any positive qualities?

God knows why anyone would like them! They are nasty, vile, bitchy people. There isn't anything nice about them.

Because they are the only real people in there. They bitch yeah, but Rebecca also says it to their faces, and has an opinion, unlike Oh so sweet Rachel. She doesn't give a **** what anyone thinks, and most of the time, what she says is true, its just the way she says it. She is keeping me watching Big Brother, but I dont believe shes a nasty person atall. Loads of people bitch about others, but it doesn't make them horrible etc, it just makes them human, and Bex has shown many sides to the viewers, and is the only one who is interested in entertaining us.

I enjoy watching their conversations and friendship. I find them funny together, and they play off well against each other. Rebecca is fun. She starts and is involved in a lot of a fun fights in the house and she is always up for a laugh. She isn't afraid to be herself, and I believe is one of the most genuine people in the house. So what if she gets her boobs out? She is comfortable with herself and that is something that should be celebrated.
Luke, I find very funny. Yes he is the most bitchy housemate by far but I'd rather watch him then Rachel talk about grapes or Maysnore..do, erm...nothing!
I like them because they entertain me! I dislike Rachel, Mikey, Maysnore because they do not. I think that without them the house would be a lot duller place.
Some think their whining and arguments add to the show and entertainment value. Everyone has a different reason for liking certain housemates.
Some find Rachel dull, some love her. Some find Kathreya dull, some love her.
It all just depends on what people's expectations of a Big Brother Housemate are.

Rebecca said about Mohamed "I want to dig my fingers in his eye sockets and pull them out" (and keep in mind Mikey was in the conversation at this point) - I think it's fair to say she's a nasty person. They're all real people in there, it's stupid to say that everyone is being fake except for Rebecca. I actually think Rebecca is the only one who's shown signs of acting (rolling out of the diary room was clearly faked)
I don't understand why Luke is exempt from bitching because he's a man - he does it just as Sylvia (90.2%) and Jennifer (89.7%) did, and yet he's rewarded for it for some reason...

Yes, beause he isn't just a bitch. He also get involved and is a very funny character, in a lot of peoples view.

And? Some people have said "ah i could kill you", doesnt mean they are gonna turn around and do it?
Mikey - whats different to it being Mikey? People complain he gets treated different, and this all once again shows that she doesnt give a ****.

They aren't though, because most of them hold back, or wont do things that will upset the public - Kat,Rachael etc, whereas Bex couldn't care less.

Becuase they are sure of who they are, they know they are bitchy and they are very happy to admit it, which makes their bitchyness fun and not sneaky to watch! Everyone in bb bitches, and if they don't they are never liked... eg rachel! Luke and Bex are compeltely open about their bitching.
I love luke and bex because they are fun happy bubbly people who really enjoy life, they really make me laugh and I think I would be really good friends with them. They are a breath of fresh air and honest to god true people.

The fact that Rebecca said that shows she is possibly one of the least fake of them all. Would she of said if she wanted to be loved or liked by the public?

They are honest, genuine people unlike a lot of them in the house.
Yes they may bitch but at least they don't just run around the house shouting out happy house and pretending like life in the BB house is perfecto.

Rachel is one of ...........well one who actually DOES confront people to thier faces in a polite way too. She also tells others who bitch to speak with the individual themselves or at least try.
She caught out Lisa with this, and rather than tell or bitch to people who asked why she was in the diary room, she respectfully told them you'll have to find out when you get out of the house.
She was livid and could have been excused a rant to everyone, but remained decent and dignified even though what Lisa Mario and Luke had said about her was completely FALSE!!!
She later confronted Lisa to remind her of the facts, it meant little to someone like Lisa though, a complete waste of time only the viewer will benefit from seeing Rachel again as someone who is for real and genuine.
I note now 2 weeks running an evicted HM both influenced by the vile creature which is Luke, both thinking of Rachel as false and bitchy and both proved wrong. Will they have the decency to admit it though?, not on your life, thats what really seperates the obscene in the Lukes bitching assination gang and the ordinary woman on BB to enjoy a show she herself wanted to experience.
All without now whining about the consequences of any hardships she may have for a brief time, thats something else it seems unique to Rachel and the people Rachel considers close to in the house, probably why she's wise enough to keep well away from the posionous ilk of Luke and his chav side kick Rebecca.

Yep completely agree, in fact I think it would improve everyone in the house in a knock on effect, ie no Luke, better Rebecca, which helps Darnell.
Lisa too would benefit from the wimps departure, yes get Luke out and we have a completely different and nicer BB house:thumbs:

I think I might grow to like Bex if Luke were to go, because before Bex get all friendly with Luke I liked her. But as for Luke, I will never like him, he is just nasty.

I personally don't like them for their constant hushed-tone bitching and loud annoying shouting and moaning at everything.
However, I can see why some might like them (well, at least Bex). She could be entertaining to some people cos she mixes things up in the house (though not entertaining to me in the slightest).
Not too sure about Luke? He has no redeeming qualities as far as I can see, not even by being annoying-entertaining like Bex can be to some.

I like Rebecca because she is one of the few who is 'keeping it real' as they say in the house. yes she can be loud and boisterous, but she is young and experiecing life in the BB house, and as a viewer i want people who are being themselves and making the most of the oppoutunity they have been given.
All this happy clappy stuff and trying to fly under the radar just to stay in the house is not being true to themselves, or giving us value for money.
As for Luke, priceless!...:thumbs2:

therefore everyone in there is a better person than them!
i dont mind whatever happens to bex, but for luke...we dont need him!
or even both of them...even they bitch..the people they bitch about just ignores them...so it doesnt realy do much!
i dont find them being vile entertaining!
(especially knowing that there are people praising them for it)
i wont find fun with sort of people like them!
