Damn these busy schedules. :yuk:

If this topic already exists, as I suspect it does...sorry, and delete the previous. This will be the official thread for BB Finland this year.

Starting date will be August 27th. I remember mentioning, that we have an astrolog this year. Here's a translation of a short news piece:

Big Brother comes back on August 27th. The housemates have been selected and there will be something new in season 4.

For the whole season an astrologist will be present. Taija Uusitalo, who has compiled the profiles of the contestants.

-Compared to previous years, it's going to be a whole different bunch of people. Exciting and challencing characters, and there's also a couple of really good relationship-players, says Uusitalo.

No news of whether we'll have a completely new house or not. I'd be willing to bet, we will.

Some news about the house was released today. It will still be located at the same place, but the news is telling that it will be completely re-vamped. I take these news, that we will indeed have a new house.

Thanks. Although for a couple of weeks more I will only be able to pop in every now and then. I just moved, taking a lot of my time at the moment.

I was also rooting for Kadi. Too bad, she didn't win.

Kadi was in the news recently. Just a little piece, for jumping bungy.

Didn't want to make the last reply too long, so I made a new one for this:

Janne Kataja, the host of BB Extra, has given some snippets of what can be expected. I'll just translate the most important comments here.

– I'm really excited, we've got a lot of new stuff on the show. Especially I'm excited about BB Extra transforming almost completely.

– If something corny has happened in the house, our goal is to tell about it in a less serious way. At the moment it seems, like we'll also have the ever so popular parody and scetches of the HM's. In those scetches we'll look into the action in the house with a little grin.

Furthemore we have an agreement with Big Brother, that we will participate in the work in the control room every now and then. From there we'll make things happen in the house, together with the viewers.

The house, that has gone through a facelift gets millions of thanks for its new style. It's not only cosmetic, there has been big changes.

– The renovated house is really fantastic, I think. I don't want to give too much away, but the changes made are really radical!

Btw, Janne got married and had a baby-girl during the winter.

Today Sub (the channel of BB) aired a 30-minute special of the castings. I have it on computer. I'll add English subtitles to it, it will take a couple of days though...I've never subtitled before, so I'll expect one day to go learning.

I'll probably upload the special to Youtube.

I have to say...some very interesting applicants appeared in that special. One told, she wants to have a tail...another told she's seen an UFO. If I had to place a bet, I'd say this season will definately be the most interesting of BB Finland.

Oh yeah...one of the applicants said she will parachute into the house if she wasn't selected.

HM's to follow, as soon as they're all in. The kickoff is in progress atm, and live feeds have been opened. For techical reasons I won't be able to get the feeds for about the first two weeks. I'm just following the situation on the website.

I think the new house looks really cool! :dance2:

She did something against the contract. No word of what she did.

And to add to the HM-post...there might be a chance of more HMs entering within the first couple of days. If this is true then maybe at some point we'll have a double-eviction or two. Remains to be seen.

Yeah...the DR design aims to be sinful, I think.

Btw...the house also has a second floor. Upstairs is a VIP-room or something like that. Here's some sort of a tour of the house with the host of Extra:

Obviously it's in Finnish and no way of adding subtitles. But you'll get a glimpse of the house and the room upstairs.

Today the HMs got their first weekly task. They are having a healthy week, as they were told to take all nicotine- and sugar-based products as well as coffee and tea to the storage room. Alcohol won't be on the menu either. They will have to eat vegetarian only.

Big Brother have also let the HMs believe, that this would last for the whole 3 months.

Last night they had a welcome-party, where they had quite a bit of alcohol to drink. It got mildly wild towards the end of the party. There was plenty of snoggling going on, also between two guys and two of the girls went topless. This bunch certainly doesn't seem to be shy.

Unfortunately I had a problem with the recording, I only got the first part of the kick-off.

I'll edit the opening title and the proper tour of the house out, and upload them to YouTube. Here's the opening title:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo5zmXPF5tM

I will look into the recording problem and fix it. So the torrents will start from day 2, I'm afraid. Unless I can find Day 1 somewhere off the net.

I'll post short introductions of the HMs tomorrow.

The HMs will have to wait until the live talk show on Sunday to find out who they have nominated for eviction. Also the HM to be up for the fake-eviction has been pre-selected. This HM will be given a task, which will remain a secret until the time of the eviction.

The cigarette and coffee ban might make things a bit interested. Almost all of the HMs either smoke a lot or drink coffee a lot. A few of them both. With both substances gone, they just might start loosing their temper. Niko has already snapped a couple of times at his fellow HMs and Big Brother.

I can see, why some people find the house boring. But then again, there probably isn't any BB-house anywhere in the world that everyone would like.

I think this house is an improvement from the previous. This house only has one bedroom and the more open space makes it more difficult to form cliques inside the house.

On another note, I managed to get my hands on the Kick-off and Day 1. They're not the best in quality, low bitrate. But good enough. So, for now I won't post any new videos or the introductions. I'll try to have at least Kick-off, Day 1 and Day 2 ready to be donwloaded early next week. I'm off to the countryside for the weekend, can't do anything to the files while I'm gone.

Btw...I mentioned about the weekly task earlier. They haven't actually got it yet. The task will start today. Just thought I'd correct myself.

These are my first impressions of a few of the housemates based on their entrance on the kickoff and the few days they're spent in the house.

Niko: a spoiled dramaqueen. He's bisexual, but so far I've seen a stereotype of a comedic homosexual.

Cheryll: a wannabe posh. She lives for shopping and beauty, but she doesn't act like it in the house.

Harri: a wannabe punk. Looks a bit like one, but don't act like one.

Minna: a wannabe celebrity. She seems to be willing to do anything to stay in the headlines.

Risto: He's kinda bossy. And a player.

More tomorrow. Those are the HMs, that I have something to say about. The rest are still waiting to show, what they've got.

I'll use this same post to tell, that apparently one of the housemates slipped out they were required to have a valid passport. This info is from a source I trust. Adding to this, yesterday the hostess said that on Sunday we'll see something that haven't been seen on BB Finland before.

There are quite a few things we haven't seen here before. But I'm hoping it would be a HM swap. If it is, I guess it would be with Africa. That would be the only logical choice.

The fake evicted was Marko.

So, obviously he went back in the house. But he went directly to the room upstairs. His task is to keep it quiet. He can't let any of the other HMs know he's back.

The room upstairs has its own toilet. But Marko has to think carefully when to use it, so that he wouldn't get caught. He can also move freely anywhere in the house.

He may or may not get food, drinks and entertainment while he's in the room. He will stay in there until Big Brother tells him otherwise.

If he is caught by the other HMs at any time, he'll be automatically up for eviction. If he can manage to stay undetected, he'll win immunity for the next nominations.

The room upstairs has a TV. Marko can watch live feed from the house all the time on that TV.

Translating and subtitling is taking longer than I expected. Also converting to XviD has taken some time. I've decided to forget about the Extra shows for now, it's mostly news-orientated anyways. Also I cut all introductions from the kickoff-show to save time on translations. I only left the house-tour and HM introductions.

On another note, Cheryll had her birthday on Sunday. But because Sunday is also the live eviction night, they didn't have a party then. Big Brother dropped a bomb on the HMs on Monday by telling them, that Cheryll would receive a party for her birthday. They were after all in the belief, that they would have to live healthy for the whole season.

And what a party it was...again the normal kissing around just about anyone who happened to be handy, even if they were the same gender. Niko got his neck full of hickies, at some point he had 3 ppl at the same time sucking his neck.

Cheryll got a final present from Big Brother after midnight. She got the permission to spend the rest of the night in the suite upstairs with a HM of her choosing. She chose Risto...and after an hour or so of talking the two of them got going. Although both of them denied having sex afterwards, the sounds and movements under the blanket told otherwise...

...and partly at the same time Johan and Marianna got rowdy in the sauna. Despite there being at least 4 other HMs watching, Marianna pulled Johan's shorts down and grabbed his penis in her hand. The handjob didn't last for long, but the live feed was X-rated. Possibly she also had a lick, before changing her mind about the whole thing and walked away.

Also that same night Mia and Minna got in a fight. It wasn't physical, but they certainly didn't save any words while shouting at each others.

Finally, in the morning Tero and Marianne had a short session under the covers in the bedroom.

Half of this bunch seem to be willing to do just about anything in the house.

I'll end this message with news about this week's evictions:

Up for eviction are Marko (for quitting his secret mission), Minna and Risto. It will be a double-eviction.

Some problems uploading torrents. My netconnection is at the moment a bit off. Sorry about that. I promised something, and can't deliver. Terribly sorry about that. As soon as I have a new connection openen, I'll upload the whole season. If there's still anyone, who's interested to see how they do BB here.

Meanwhile...last week's double-evicition: Minna and Risto were evicted. Today Marko was evicted. The gap between Cheryll and Marko was 0.03%

Also, Andreas got news that he's going to be a father. Live. His fioncee was outside holding signs, gradually telling she's preagnant.

And finally: 4 new HMs entered the house before the eviction. I'll add pictures as soon as I can. It seems, that I can't even upload pictures at the moment.

The task for the week is Hotel BB. Half of the HMs are staff, and other half guests. 2 HMs were designated as VIP-guests, they will stay in the suite for the duration of the task.

The new HMs are Anniina (http://www.bigbrother.fi/bigbrother2008/asukkaat.shtml/Anniina), Tuuli (http://www.bigbrother.fi/bigbrother2008/asukkaat.shtml/Tuuli), Antti (http://www.bigbrother.fi/bigbrother2008/asukkaat.shtml/Tuuli) and Jari-Matti (http://www.bigbrother.fi/bigbrother2008/asukkaat.shtml/Jari-Matti). I linked the names to their profiles on the official site. I still have problems uploading anything. At least anyone, who's still interested can see their pictures.

Back to the task. The guests are:
Harri
Jari-Matti
Johan
Maria
Marianna
Niko
Tuuli

...and staff:
Andreas (chef)
Antti (head of entertainment)
Cheryll (buttler)
Marianne (receptionist)
Mia (cleaning)
Tero (piccolo/general management)

Johan and Tuuli are the VIP-guests. Apparently they've had a one-night stand together in the past. Marianna and Johan shared a bed for a couple of weeks. Marianna was already ready to go, she told a couple of days ago that she's had enough. Tonight she walked. Johan and Tuuli sharing the suite was too much for her.

Also, Anniina reportedly was in a relationship with Harri some time ago.

antos
17-09-2008, 08:55 PM
Cheryll, Maria and Niko are up for eviction.

Also, I must correct myself. Marianna didn't walk, she was ejected. For personal reasons. No news of what those reasons were, my guess is that psychiatrist was of the opinion that Marianna wouldn't last for long anymore. It was really visible, that she was mentally broken. Possibly the real reason will be revealed on Sunday.

As far as softporn goes...things have changed. The game has definately changed. At the moment it seems, that Andreas could very well win. Then again...so could Cheryll, Mia and Niko. Possibly Tero, Anniina or Tuuli. The game is now wide open again.

I personally am still waiting for new HMs to enter in the coming weeks. I think it's just a matter of time.

Tonight The Duudsons visited the house. For anyone who doesn't know, they're the Finnish equivalent of Jackass.

They didn't just perform, but the HMs participated. There was drinking through the nose (tomato juice and tabasco), getting their asscheeks stapled and for the final stunt Harri volunteered. He got his ear nailed to a piece of wood.

Sorry for not showing up and updating for over a week. I've been extremely busy for the better part of the last fortnight. Anyhow...last Sunday Mia was evicted, and Maria a week before. Otherwise last week was kinda boring.

Harri was removed from the eviction voting, as he was taken to a hospital last monday. He got an infection from having his ear nailed, and not taking care of disinfectioning carefully enough. He's still in the hospital, but getting better.

Last weeks task was a bit boring, they just had to avoid breaking any of the paper-strips that had been spread around the house.

Marianna spoke of her removal, but didn't really say anything new. She just said, that the reasons were too personal to say and that everything was fine with her. She has logged on to the official BB-discussion board, and seems to take things really well.

This week's task is "Unforgettable festival-trip".

Finally, this week the nominations will be reversed. Instead of naming who they would like to go, the HMs will name persons they would most like to stay in the house. The HMs with the lowest amount of points will be up for eviction.

Oh yeah...for the whole season BB will play 3 sounds, each of which the HMs will have to react to a predifined fashion. On hearing one sound they'll have to grimace, on one squat and on one land belly down. And these sounds may sound at any time, even in the middle of the night when they're sleeping.

News in short:

Harri has been released from the hospital. I guess the production team is still thinking, whether he should be allowed to re-enter the house or not. He hasn't been marked as extracted yet.

Right after the weekly task ended, Antti lost his temper completely. So much, that some of the other HMs were a bit scared of his behaviour. He only demolished some of the staging used for the task. He didn't get even a warning for his misconduction. Doesn't really matter, all polls indicate that he'll be evicted today anyway.

That's pretty much it. It's been another boring week.

antos
07-10-2008, 04:35 PM
Antti was evicted. There wasn't any real competition between him and Marianne who got around 10% less minus-votes.

This week the task is "Hints from television". There are now 2 TVs in the house, the other one was brought in the bedroom. BB play clips from previous seasons, and on Thursday there will be questions about the clips. The HMs will have to get at least 50% of the answers correct. They bet 99% of their budget.

5 of the remaining 9 HMs got a penalty for constantly breaking the rules. Andreas, Johan, Marianne, Niko and Tero weren't allowed to name this week. Namings were today, results will be revealed tomorrow as usual.

Until yesterday it looked like another dull week. However, after successfully completing the weekly task the HMs bought quite a bit of alcohol. They wanted to have their own party.

About 3 hours into the party, they were called outside. The drapes were shut. In addition to normal maintenance, 2 new HMs entered the house while the drapes were down. The HMs received 2 boxes of wine from BB to welcome the new HMs. A few of the HMs drank really fast and got really drunk.

Of the 2 new HMs Kaisa-Reeta is openly lesbian. Niko has previously told, that he can't stand lesbians. Niko didn't exactly love this new twist. One thing led to another, and it all came down to Niko having an argument with Marianne. Marianne had welcomed Kaisa-Reeta to the house, and the two seemed to get along perfectly. The argument between Niko and Marianne got to a point, where Niko threw a wineglass at Marianne. At this point Marianne was already walking away. The glass didn't hit Marianne, though. Niko also had a can of energy-drink in his other hand, which he tried to throw at Marianne. Finally Niko was going towards Marianne, looking like he could really get physical. Andreas and Tuuli grabbed Niko, and held him. Niko was exctracted for violent behaviour.

Another kinda disturbing event took place a couple of hours later. Tero almost drowned in his own vomit.

Andreas, Cheryll, Johan and Tero are up for eviction.

Andreas was evicted. Once again the percentages changed quite radically during the live show. At the beginning the gap between Andreas and Cheryll was around 20%. Andreas was evicted with less than a 2% gap to Cheryll.

All of the evictees got more minus votes than plus.

I didn't really like him. I didn't hate him either. It seems, like the athmosphere in the house changed to the better after Andreas left.

On another note, this week the task is Collective farm. The HMs work for the collective. They receive the same ratios of food regardless who has worked the hardest. However, there's also a leader in the collective. This leader was appointed by BB. The appointed leader is Johan. He lives upstairs.

At the moment they are picking eggs. Every broken egg will affect to their budget. The eggs will be sent through a pipe at random intervals. And at any time of the day.

The house has been covered with brown paper. And there's a rather primitive toilet outside. The HMs can't use neither the toilet or shower inside.

The egg-production has been in fact the primary goal. Today Anna received a secret mission...she'll have to sabotage the task as much as she can without getting caught. If she's succesfull, she will receive a reward.

Also, one of the goals in this task has been to get 3 working hero-titles. I'm not quite sure, if this means 3 for one HM. Or if it doesn't matter, if the 3 stars are given to individual HMs.

I'm not sure, if I already mentioned this: this year the HMs had to have valid passports. Also, the production have promised a more international season as ever. At this point I'd be willing to bet, that there's going to be a HM-swap. The most likely house would be in Spain. We have one HM, who has lived in Spain for 8 months. Possibly a native Spanish-speaker entering the house soon (just a rumour).

Jari-Matti, Marianne, Tero and Tuuli are up for eviction this week. As the new HMs Anna and Kaisa-Reeta couldn't be named. Also, Johan had immunity as the leader of the weekly task.

It's been confirmed. We'll have a swap. It's unclear with which country. The popular consensus between the fans seems to be Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel or Spain. Remains to be seen. My guess is Croatia or Spain.

There has been some hints for some time now. The hints are: raven, coconut and a red dot.

Another hint might be our theme for this year. Astrology. And the fact, that Johan was selected as the leader at the beginning of the weekly task. Thus giving him immunity to this week's nominations. Johan has in the past lived in Spain for 8 months.

To get back to the astrology theme. Madrid's coat of arms includes stars that symbolise the constellation of the bear.

I don't know...at the moment it seems like we'll swap HMs with Spain. Then again, anything is possible.

Johan left to a house in another country. I still have no news, where he's gone to. Unless anyone here can tell, in which countries there are a strong possibility of a swap, we'll find out tomorrow. I can tell, that the church is somehow involved. More precisely the department, that takes care of the help worldwide where needed.

Having said that, the most likely candidates are Africa and Croatia. Africa I don't really need to explain. Croatia, because their house is in Thailand. The tsunami took a lot of Finnish people too. And generally they might still need some help.

More speculation. It seems, that Johan is on his way to Africa. And Munya from the Africa house is on his way to our house in exchange. :cheer2:

I still don't have the time to translate and subtitle. But for the week that Munya spends in our house, I'll upload the episodes as is. Meaning, that they will be unpacked. Which means big files. It's safe to say, that for the next week the daily shows will focus on our guest. And the language used will be mostly English.

Here's some conversation on a Finnish forum in English:

Now the speculations are a reality. Johan is in South Africa, and Munya is in our house. Munya is like a breath of fresh air. Johan will enter the BBA house tomorrow. Or actually he's already there, but he haven't been introduced to the BBA HMs yet. No doubt he'll be a breath of fresh air for them.

The HM swap between BB Finland and BB Africa has proven to be a very good one. Johan is enjoying his life in the BBA house, and the BBA HMs are also enjoying Johan. It's the same here, Munya is enjoying his life in the BB Finland house and our HMs are enjoying him. More importantly, the fans in both Africa and Finland have been interacting on forums based in both South-Africa and Finland. This is one of the reasons at the moment, why my updates here are scarce. Just bare with me. I know, I've let some of you down. I also know, there's only a few forumites here, who could care less about BB Finland.

Also, there might be a further twist to this HM-swap. Today our HMs had nominations. Munya also was asked to the DR to nominate the Finnish BB HMs. I have no idea, if this twist is real. I'll have more news tomorrow.

Munya left the BB Finland house an hour ago. Johan apparently is still in the BBA house.

Cheryll and Kaisa-Reeta are up for eviction this week. And yes, Munya's nomination counted. We might actually have Munya to thank for getting rid of Kaisa-Reeta. She doesn't really have anything to give to the house.

It seems, that with this swap either Cheryll or Johan will win. Munya got kinda close with Cheryll, and on his last night in the house he got to go upstairs with the HM of his choice. He chose Cheryll. They had a lengthy and deep conversation before kissing goodnight. He brought a new side out of Cheryll.

Johan on the other hand has been given quite a bit already. By winning the poker tournament they had in the house he's already won 5000 euros in terms of money. Also he's been immune in the nominations for 2 weeks in the row. Whether he'll win or not will be completely up to how he can use his experience in this swap for his advantage. If he can't, Cheryll will be the winner.

Kaisa-Reeta was evicted yesterday.

The HMs have been nominating each other as usually on Mondays. It might be counted as a twist that they couldn't nominate Johan, they must be thinking Johan got immunity again for the 3rd week in a row. In reality the HMs couldn't nominate him, because he will be automatically up for eviction.

A quick recap and update:

So...Johan was nominated by Big Brother. This wasn't the only twist related to the HM swap. Upon his return, Johan got pretty much everything the other HMs could only dream of. And then BB turned the table...Johan spent 8 hours cleaning up the walls and mirrors outside by himself. Over and over again. He survived the eviction. Jari-Matti was evicted last week.

This week 3 new HMs entered. 2 guys on Tuesday and a girl yesterday. The girl is one of those kiss&tell-girls. Apparently she's slept with footballer Mikael Forssell.

Not much going on really, so not much to update.

Anyway, here are the new HMs:

The unthinkable happened tonight. Cheryll was a forerunner throuhgout the season. Until now. She was evicted. It was kind of a shock. Good for the game though, as now it's all open. Can't really predict, who will win.

With Cheryll gone, we now have only 2 HMs who entered on day 1. One of the new HMs might win. I'd put my money on Anniina.

Yesteday a highly predicted eviction of Henna.

Today the HMs nominated for the last time this season. As the first one, the nominations were fake. BB had already placed all of the remaining 7 HMs up for eviction. This is also the foundation for the weekly task.

During the weekly task BB will show real-time updates of how the voting is going on. They will be shown randomly at any time of the day on the TV-screen.

Also during the task, the HMs will have various individual tasks. The best of each task will be rewarded somehow.

I guess this is somehow connected to this year's theme "Who you really are?"...should be interesting to see how each HM will react to the updates.

On top of that, it's going to be a triple-eviction.

Additional information of the weekly task:

The HMs will only see the order in which they would be evicted. Also, BB added a twist which they didn't tell about beforehand. Every now and then the HMs will be shown clips of their doings in the house.

The first clip was of Henna and Tero upstairs. Henna licked sparkly wine off of Tero's stomach and her hand also was seen going down towards Tero's scrotch. Tero have been very close to Tuuli, with Tuuli taking their relationship more seriously. Tero had some explaining to do after everyone saw, what really went on upstairs last Saturday. Nothing really did happen.

After the HMs realized they would be shown clips of just about anything, some of the HMs turned a bit quiet for a while...a few of them have been really bashing other HMs behind their backs.

This week's nominations will also be shown, at least a part of them. Remains to be seen, whether they will show everyone's clips or not. First to go was Anna's nominations.

I'm still not quite sure, how BB will judge this task. It's not really a task, more like an experiment of how all this will affect the HMs mentally. One of the guests of the Extra-show said, that this year the HMs are more like human labrats.

Anna, Alex and Tuuli were evicted. It was a close voting, as all of the HMs were within 6-percent margin.

This means, that the finalists are Anniina, Jarmo, Johan and Tero.

The weekly task also ended after the evictions. Although the task was succesfully completed (there really was no other option), understandably the 4 HMs weren't exactly celebrating the news.

The winner of BB Finland 2008 is Anniina. She's the first ever HM, who didn't enter the house on day 1 to win BB Finland.

Also for the first time it was told at the end of the final, that BB will be back next year.

HM's to follow, as soon as they're all in. The kickoff is in progress atm, and live feeds have been opened. For techical reasons I won't be able to get the feeds for about the first two weeks. I'm just following the situation on the website.

I think the new house looks really cool! :dance2: dead set it look like the thing on the outside
