Why do people like Rex so much?

I'm having a lot of difficulty understanding why so many people like Rex the most. Don't get me wrong, he's ok. But he is never nice to anyone and he is just generally horrible. He is rude a selfish. I just don't get it. Help?

I luv his wit and sense of humour, he makes me laugh. He is a miserable old sod at times, but that's what I like about him.

because he isn't fake and tells it how it is no beating around the bush when it comes to rex if he has something to say he will say it

i am just so unsure Rex i used to love his sense of humour now hes just playing the game of making everyone miserable with his put downs so they nominate him and get him out. surely the public cant be eviciting him just because of his good looks lol

Yeah but there is a difference between having something to say/speaking your mind, and just being totally tactless and hurtful!
