This forum is of mixed ages, guessing predominantly on mid teens.

Just wondering if any of you work/pay bills etc.

If you're a student this does not include money from parents/loans as that's not really our own money is it? (I'm a student)

Paying off my credit cards and loan just now.

Sadly hardly any money goes on me anymore

I do oddjobs for money and such, my course doesn't really allow for jobs and stuff easily i'm always too busy with filming of coursework.

I don't really pay any bills and such but my parents don't min, they want me to focus on college but they don't really ask for much normally anyway, instead of paying at our house you just gotta do odd jobs like cooking or cleaning.

I do work most of my summer holidays and some weekends but I don't pay anything my trips, clothes and stuff.
My parents earn enough money not to ask me to pay them so that's fine.

I work part time. I pay for most of my stuff now because my job pays well. My parents are well off. When I wasn't working for a while, they were the ones that paid for my things.

Uni student, so no.

Though loans are kind of my own money, as I will be paying that back.

I buy my own clothes and stuff, I'd never ask my parents to buy me clothes etc whilst I'm earning. I pay some keep every week too, purely out of respect for my mum cooking, cleaning, ironing etc for me.

Plus, at 17, if my parents were still clothing, feeding, keeping a roof over my head and paying for my night outs [which some of my mates parents do] because they are too boneidle to get off their arses, I'd be embarrased.

My mum has p*ssed off to somewhere a few miles away arsing about with property developing and she finds it easier to stay there. That means I'm home alone :cheer:

She still pays the basics like gas, electricity, TV license etc but I get everything else like food, Sky, phonebill, broadband all that. I earn the money so theres no point in sponging off her if I don't have to ...

supernoodles!

Nope.
Just finished school and starting college in september.
So I should start getting EMA then so I'll have some money to spend.

If I could get a job, I would but it's impossible atm

Up until 2 years ago I was the major earner of my house. I have worked since I was 17 and only had about 6 months of not working until 2 years ago. Now I am a happy housewife who is about to start a business with my other half. Its nice to be able to relax and enjoy the kids growing up, be home for them when they get back from school and to not feel guilty for having to go out to work.

I havent relied on either of my parents for a long long time. Occasionally they have helped me get out a sticky situation but I have always paid them back as soon as I could
