Clearly not people that are real fans of Big Brother, if they were they wouldn't be trying to get the show taken off the air by writing to Ofcom all the time.

They wont do anything untill Rachel herself says she is being bullied, and she hasn't. She can handle Rex, she did yesturday when he had another pop at her.

They'll probably start complaining about people swearing in a few years. Do these people actually have a life apart from complaining about TV shows?

Stupid to complain to Ofcom over this. However Rex has made himself a self styled interrogator which shows up his true bully boy nature.....Hope the viewers will take note......

Ofcom should not be involved that is stupid. It would be equally stupid if the public do not see the light regarding his lord of the manor behavour and boot the cretin out at the first oportunity...

That is just ridiculous, People are always going to find something to complain about..How on earth people think Rex is a bully is beyond me, he was speaking his mind. Nothing about what he said to Rachel was bullying in my eyes anyway.

People will always complain about bullying in BB. Sometimes they are right to complain like with the whole Alex thing, But complaining about Rex is just absolutely pathetic.

I was just looking on the official BB website and the amount of people on there leaving comment about Rex being a bully ect ect is laughable. Sad people that don't know the meaning of the word 'Bully'.

I don't agree with the Ofcom complaint but if you can't see that Rex is a bully then you need to take off the dark glasses and remove your earplugs.....Rex is a disgrace.....He glories in other peoples upset......Bully boy byond doubt absolutely byond doubt.,...Smell the coffee.....

I don't wear glasses and I certainly don't wear earplugs, so stop with the stupid remarks please.

This thread is about him being a bully with regards to Rachel not anyone else, And IN MY OPINION!!! (Do you know what one of those is???) He didn't bully her at all. He was expressing himself and saying what he thought, Seems like some people on this forum think freedom of speech is reason to brand someone a bully.

Rex is not a bully. He's just winding them all up. That is not bullying.

All you people calling him a bully look at him in comparison to Alex, and Charley. He is not a bully!!

Yes he may have gone on for a bit too long but it wasn't bullying. If Rachel hasn't said she feels bullied then what is everyone's problem? It's HER thats being wound up not the public. People need to get over it.

Life dictates that bullies have freedom of speech too and that is how they are found out........Sorry if you have the inability to seet that.....That's my opinion......Take it or leave it who cares......

Other peoples game plans are no business of Rex except in the nomination room......To bully Rachel the way he did was an example of a spoilt rich man who thinks he can ride rough shod over who he pleases......He claims he has achieved all of his goals it's a pity one of his goals was'nt to be a decent human being........When the fool comes out I hope he watches himself and sees what pig of a bully he truly is....

Two people have been removed for being bullies, Alex who was using veiled threats at fellow housemates about their families and her 'gangster' friends and Dennis who spat in Mo's face, those are real resons to call somone a bully. Rex was voicing his opinon on what he saw in the vt. The reason Rachel is so upset is because she believes she's being herself and can't understand why other people can't see it. Rex was getting annoyed because she just wouldn't admit that she comes across very different in the vt, whether she is or not.

The fact is he did not talk to her he interrogated her demanding a confession.......If that is not bullying then the moon is made of green cheese....

Then the moon must be made of green cheese!! He could have handled it differently, he was a bit harsh but there you go. All this is making me wonder why Rebecca was never hauled up and called a bully, if these definitions are correct then she was! She called Rex a dickhead to his face about five times in a row way back there about a month or so ago, and was constantly telling Mo she hated him. And what about Lisa and Luke the other day making fun of Kat to her face, that upset Kat, why wasn't that taken into account. I really could go on here because the list is endless. It seems most of them in there should be called bullies at this point if we're calling Rex one for his argument with Rachel.

'Bullying' seems a bit strong............however, Rex does seem to have some sort of fixation on Rachael, when others are coming across as far less trustworthy. Ok her VT may have been 'enthusiastic'......but don't they all sell themselves in the same way?? Oh, and while Rex and co. were originally cowering from Alex when she had a go at the 'mighty' Bex in the first few days, it was RACHAEL who came to her defence in 'CHIPGATE'. LEST WE NOT FORGET....................

Nope. Not remotely Ofcom material. However Rex in my opinion went well OTT with his pestering of Rachel on the subject....To the point of being a bully!!!! I think so like many others.....Her friend Imogen from a previous BB has also published a complaint in the press...

Wish Rex would leave Rachel alone - you would near think he fancied her for he is constantly badgering her for no reason all the time. So she spiced herself up a bit to get on the show but sure they all act like tossers in their vt!

I don't think Rachel gets a chance with all the big characters in the house - they always say that she never has an opinion and sits on the fence but in fact she is the only straight person in the house - when someone talks about her behind her back at least she has the decency and the balls to go to their face and challenge them, also when Alex was picking on Bex it was Rachel who stood up to her - i never saw any of the "fun" housemates stand up to her (except Steph :dance2:) In fact Bex & co coward in the corner

it seems as if the other housemates are jealous of anyone who isn't into bitching group. so glad Bex left she is vile Luke & Dale are as bad -didn't think men got on like that

I think that bullying is in the intent. Had he behaved the same way to Dale, who is very confident, (who's VT was truely something foul) it would not have been bullying, but from the beginning certain housemates have been sniping at Rachael and putting her down for being boring (is it any wonder she has not been the bubbly character of her VT) Rex was deliberately hitting at her where she must already feel vulnerable after all these weeks, and not letting up. He seems to delight in making other people feel small, like saying to to Kat that she just looked like a really fat baked potato in her VT, and you could tell by her face she was so hurt. Deliberately hurting others and getting pleasure/a feeling of power from it is the definition of bulling to me.

Sunny_01
30-07-2008, 04:11 PM
I think the complaints to OFCOM are silly however I do think Rex behaved terribly towards Rachel and to a lesser degree Maysoon. He has no right to constantly chip away at someones self esteem. He behaved like a school ground bully who had found something new to pick at his target with.
