This evening, Jason's attempts to get some peace and quiet have met with little success as the other housemates have been on loud, vocal form.
The noise-intolerant Scot couldn't get a moment's peace in any part of the House. Earlier he retreated to the Pamper Room for a long spell of navel gazing. But the raucous strains of 'Eternal Flame', 'Torn' and a selection of show tunes filtered through the Pamper Room's walls and shook him from his reverie.
Restlessly pacing the confined space he eventually emerged with a scowl on his face. Jason easily resisted the urge to join in a few rousing choruses of Lady Marmalade and he headed for the living room.
But there was no escape from his musical housemates and with arms folded and a face like thunder, he sat silently on the sofa as Daniel and Shell started singing.
And even when the singing stopped, he still had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Becki, Shell and Ahmed talked about religion around Jason while he remained inert with his arms folded.
When the gang started singing once more, something must have struck a chord and the temptation to participate in a chorus of Take That's "Babe" overwhelmed Jason who broke into song.
"It's such a cool little tune... I love Take That," he said looking misty-eyed.
