Rex increasingly comes across as overpowering with his girlfriend - she actually looks like she doesn't want him to be there. Watch how he tries to kiss her and she turns her cheek. Not sure how much that is to do with him being a prick with his money comment ("you're a student , you don't earn money") or her general feelings towards him.
