I can't see why anyone would actually dislike Rachel, i can see she isn't the most outgoing person but what has she done that would lead to dislike.
Most HMs have done something that leads us to dislike them, either being two faced, nasty, physically or verbally aggressive - sarcastic, predjudiced etc.....but others ssuch as Kat and Rachel seem to upset people because they don't do any of the above.
Is this a sign of the type of people the public are starting to look up to?

People dislike Kat and Rachel because people believe they are boring, playing a game or had enough of happy happy happy. Everyone has there reasons for liking and disliking housemates.

I agree with you on that - I dont like the bullies etc. But now be honest some of the whispering behind the hands and stuff is just what we all do at work etc!
No one can be that happy all the time - unless they are on something, especially when they have nothing to do! I would be bored out of my tiny mind in there at the moment - no wonder they are all asleep!

Some are boring but Kat can be disliked because she is very annoying with her constant singing, since she sings lss i've started to like her more again

Different people have different criteria when it comes to entertainment, but generally, it completely depends on what you want to see on your screens. I don't think it's about looking up to housemates, but some people might find b****ing entertaining (usually depending on who's doing it), or arguments. For others, it might just be uncomfortable to watch, and they prefer to see housemates (who may not be as controversial) having fun.
Clashes of opinions and viewpoints on housemates occur all the time when it comes to BB, but usually if a housemate manages to accumulate enough dislike for being a bad person, the fact that they're entertaining for the show is forgotten. However, I'll add, to others, what they were doing in the first place may not have been viewed as entertaining. I usually dislike housemates as soon as I find viewing them to be uncomfortable.
On this forum, I've noticed members to be hostile to housemates who do not deserve (in their eyes) to have been saved over their favourites.
