The new season of Prison Break starts September 1st in America and probably a few days later in the UK. The fourth season has been set up very nicely and is rumored to be the last.
Do we have any Prison Break fans here looking forward to the new season?

They always write themselves into a corner, it will be interesting to see what has happened to her since we last saw her.
All what has been really said from producers is "she's been alive, although not necessarily well, this whole time."

Prison Break producer Zack Estrin has revealed that the mysterious Whistler's bird book is crucial to the fourth season.

"We’re going back to some old-school, season one storytelling with the book," Estrin told website Zap2it.

"Just as Michael's tattoos [in the] first year, the book has this season's mysteries in it - riddles, clues, puzzles. Our guys will need to get a hold of that book in order to complete their tasks for season four and... T-Bag is the keeper of that book. How they find him, and what happens when they do, becomes an integral part of the plot."

Estrin added: "Obviously Whistler was a bit of a mystery in season three, but you will find out exactly what he was up to. His real agenda will be revealed."

Prison Break returns to Sky One in early September.

At least one major character will reportedly be killed off during the fourth season premiere of Prison Break, with two new cast members joining the show.

E! Online states that a Fox representative has confirmed that "at least one actor will be leaving the series for good" and that their identity will be a "genuine surprise" to viewers.

Executive producer Zack Estrin has also confirmed details of two new characters and how they relate to former fugitives Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows on the show.

Cress Williams will play Wyatt, who Estrin describes as a "Company guy who is... hot on our guys' tail. When the season begins, there is a cover story that our guys are placed into a SuperMax prison, and slowly but surely clues are coming out that they aren't in there - that they're up to something else maybe. This guy's job is to find out what they're really up to."

Meanwhile, James Hiroyuki Liao will play a hacker called Roland - "a new guy they're forced to work with, and they're not sure how they feel about him, but they need his expertise in the technological stuff that our guys don't necessarily do".

Prison Break will return to Sky One in early September

I hope it wont be Michael leaving for good

BigSister
15-08-2008, 06:14 PM
if its a surprise maybe it will be Michael Lincon T bag or Sucre

Spike
15-08-2008, 11:06 PM
Yeah probably one of those four. if it is then I hope its Sucre because I think his character has come to an end now with nowhere to go

BigSister
15-08-2008, 11:06 PM
yeah could be sucre for the reasons you gave

It's back! Many feared the lacklustre and shortened third season of Prison Break would be its last, but Scofield and his brutish brother Burrows were spared from the axe. Can the fourth season return the show to its former glories? Cult Spy looks at its prospects…

Prison Break is renowned for its twists and shocks - and this is certainly true behind the scenes as well. The jaw-dropping u-turn to reinstate Scofield's love interest Sara Tancredi appears an act of desperation on the part of the producers, especially as the character was beheaded. How can the audience believe future events they witness when they have been so grossly mislead before?

Yet there's no doubt that Sara's absence in the third season greatly contributed to its mediocrity, especially as the sight of a sweat-soaked Scofield brooding over his lost love became tedious in the extreme. To some extent, the sink-or-swim nature of the fourth season will depend on how cleverly they can explain Tancredi's return.

Does the name Veronica Donovan ring a bell? If not, then here's a quick refresher. She was the female lead throughout the first season of Prison Break and behind the fight to free Burrows from his death sentence until she was unexpectedly shot dead in the first episode of the second year. Prepare for another big name to be given a token dispatch during the fourth season premiere.

Assuming Veronica really is dead (a hard thing to do, given the Tancredi resurrection), then all signs point to a repeat shock slaying. Just last week, E! Online stated that "at least one actor will be leaving the series for good" and that their identity will be a "genuine surprise" to viewers.

In addition, Prison Break execs have spoken of their desire to reinstall the cryptic mystery element to the show, one that's been missing since Scofield's full-body tattoo stopped serving any purpose. Well, it gave a fine excuse for the guy to wear his sweat-soaked top to save the make-up department some hard graft.

Move over Bill Oddie, here's some proper ornithology – for Whistler's bird book holds the key to the new mystery. "We’re going back to some old-school, season one storytelling with the book," producer Zack Estrin told website Zap2it. "Just as Michael's tattoos [in the] first year, the book has this season's mysteries in it - riddles, clues, puzzles. Our guys will need to get a hold of that book in order to complete their tasks for season four."

As if that wasn't enough harking back to the glory years, there's apparently another jailbreak on the cards this season. How can the writers contrive a reason for Scofield to bust out from behind the bars on a third occasion? To be fair though, the show's title of Prison Break does somewhat limit the format. What would Heroes be like without any, erm, heroes?

Thats quite interesting. This season sounds like it could be brilliant, can't wait for it to start now

BigSister

Spike
10-09-2008, 08:43 PM

BigSister
10-09-2008, 09:43 PM

Spike
10-09-2008, 10:12 PM
I have still got to watch the second and third episode, can't wait now though
Just one question, how did T-Bag and the gang manage to get out of Sona, did they break out?

James
10-09-2008, 10:27 PM
The prisoners rioted and Sona was burned down. You don't see it though, it's just explained away in a line.

BigSister
10-09-2008, 10:27 PM
Yeah i think they broke out as they were in a van

James
10-09-2008, 10:41 PM
Funny line in Episode 3... for those of you that have watched it...

Did you eat a bad Mexican?
T-Bag: Er, yeah... something like that.

Spike
11-09-2008, 06:51 PM
Oh so thats how they did it, I would of liked to have seen how they got out of Sona but it looks like the producers have tried to burn all ties with season 3 and this is more like season 2

entworth Miller has explained the practical reasons behind the removal of his Prison Break character's tattoo at the start of the fourth season.

"It was a fan favourite the first season," he told the Star Telegram about Michael Scofield's full torso tattoo containing an encrypted map.

"But then Michael escaped - mission accomplished - and suddenly it was just something that had to be borne rather than be something that could be used as a plot device."

Miller explained that the tattoo had a negative effect on him while filming in Dallas for the second and third seasons, saying: "In 100-degree heat, [I was] wearing long-sleeve shirts because we’re still pretending I actually have the thing on."

"I am looking forward to rolling my sleeves up," added the actor, after his request to remove the tattoo during the fourth season was granted by Prison Break's writers.

me too, but compared to some things done in the show its one of the more realistic things

Spike
17-09-2008, 02:19 PM
Just watched episode 2, im so behind.
The season has been set up nicely and im loving it even though it is laughable that a bunch of criminals are running around America for the government to bring down the company. But its been great so far.
I think this will be the last season because there is nowhere else they can go with the show.

BigSister
17-09-2008, 02:22 PM
lol i know Spike i was thinking that too
Is episode 2 the one that was on last week or episode 2 the one that was in the double bill the first week(I tens to call the episode yesterday episode 4)

I've finally caught up on all the episodes which have aired now and this season looks to be the best yet even though it will probably be sadly the last
There are rumours due to bad ratings Fox is going to axe it and only give the show half a season

Spike
01-10-2008, 12:59 PM
With all the talk of Prison Break being axed.. well it might not after all

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has reportedly been blamed by Fox for adversely affecting Prison Break's dwindling US ratings.

"Audiences just aren't responding to the show," a Fox source told website SyFy Portal about Sarah Connor, which is screened at 8pm on Monday nights as a lead-in to the jailbreak drama. "Our biggest surprise is the 18-to-49s [demographic] - those numbers are in the toilet."

The insider added that Fox is likely to axe the Terminator spinoff during its current second season and attempt to salvage Prison Break in another timeslot.

"All I can say is that production will likely stop, and I would think that Fox might try to air some of the episodes already in the can," the source stated. "But I don't know. They don't want to lose Prison Break, so there could be some schedule shuffling in the future."

rison Break star Amaury Nolasco has stated that a major character will die in the very near future.

Nolasco, who plays Sucre, told Entertainment Weekly that the deceased will belong to the group assembled by Michael Scofield and Don Self in the show: "Somebody gets killed in episode number nine... one of us from the group... a regular. And Michael takes it pretty hard, because he's Michael."

The actor also said that the fourth season "could be a good place to stop" the show, which has struggled in the ratings recently. However, he added that rumours of its impending demise are "just word of mouth at this point".

Can't wait for the death and atleast it wont be Michael who dies

BigSister
17-10-2008, 12:22 PM
could be lincon maybe or sara as it says michael takes it hard

Spike
23-10-2008, 08:53 PM
Looks like it was the computer guy who got killed off, so it wasn't really a major character
This season gets better and better, and I want to know more about Scylla and I can't wait to see the conclusion to this season because some of the main characters are probably going to die.

The cast of Prison Break had £35,000 in cash and credit cards stolen from the LA set last week.

Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Gretchen Morgan) and Dom Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) discovered their trailers had been broken into on Thursday during filming.

An insider told The Sun: "The robbers used the stolen cards to clean out £16,000 from Jodi's account and put £9,000 on her credit cards.

"They also went into Dom's trailer and took his credit card - and they have spent £1,100 in stores and withdrew £1,900 in cash."

Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre) lost a PC and a passport in the break-in.

"He said he just hopes whoever did the robbery does not know how to hack into a computer," said the source.

The show's bosses hope the thieves will be caught with the assistance of CCTV.

Well here is one spoiler which I didn't want to know before I watched the episode, its about the death of one of the major characters

Prison Break actor Wade Williams has praised the way his character, Brad Bellick, died on the show.

"I think it's great," Williams told IGN. "He was such a jerk for most of the time, so it's nice to see him go with a little redemption. He does something selfless, which is nice."

Sara Tancredi returned to the show after apparently being killed off in the third season, but Williams denied any possibility of his character being resurrected.

"No he ain't comin' back - it was time to go," he said. "We all gotta go some time."

Williams also admitted that his character lasted on the show for longer than he had expected. "I figure that with Bellick... they should have gotten rid of him after the first season," he added. "To go three and a half years, I feel really grateful. It's always nice to get a heroic send off."

rison Break actors have reportedly been told that two extra episodes are to be filmed, fuelling speculation that the four-year series is coming to an end.

Writers are yet to reveal details of the Fox drama's extra hours and the network is yet to commit to their airing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With struggling autumn ratings, the remaining six episodes of the original 22 were not on the network's recently-released schedule. The omission has sparked rumours that Fox may air the extra two episodes as an "event" next season or that the episode will end up on a Prison Break DVD.

Last month, a Fox insider predicted a major scheduling shuffle in a move to try to bolster the series's dwindling US ratings.

I think this is going to be the last season :(

Wentworth Miller told a French tv channel called Canal +, in an interview, that Prison Break was going to end this season. He says that the whole crew knows it and that a fifth season would only be for the money and he doesn't want to be a part of this.

I agree, I can't see anywhere else the show could go from here and keep up the quality of the season 4.
Apparently a 2 hour special is being filmed to end it completely and that will be shown at the end of this season or in September 2009.
I will also miss seeing Wentworth Miller every week but it will be best for the show if it goes out on a high

Wow just finished watching episode 12 and I couldn't believe the twist. Its the first real shock of season 4 for me.

Spike
12-12-2008, 08:57 PM
I'm not liking this season as much now. With the latest twists it seems to me the story is being stretched out too much , it could of ended well by now. The whole idea of Lincon working for the company is just stupid after fighting them for all this time. The characters are losing that edge which they used to have and my favourite character, Mahone, is gone too so i'm annoyed with that. Hopefully he will come back

BigSister

awwwww no has Mahone gone I havent watched it for ages though same with heroes too have about 3 of those to watch recorded

Yeah there is a possibility he could return, I hope he does because he is such a good character. I don't see the point in getting rid of Mahone, there are other characters who should be got rid of first like Sucre

lily.
13-12-2008, 02:42 PM
Sucre hasn't had much in the way of storylines. He's just kinda a back-up for the brothers. I was glad to see Bellick go, and I liked how they did it too... kinda made up for all the crap he pulled in the beginning.

I think they'll kill off most of the supporting characters before they're done with the show though.. cuz they know that the show is done after this season.

T-Bag has been an interesting character. I love to hate him. Gretchen has been more interesting too this season. I could stand to see Self go though, cuz he's not great.

Spike
20-12-2008, 04:02 PM
I also think most the supporting characters will go before the end of the season
I am so glad we saw Mahone this week, I was worried that he had left the show for good. Hopefully he will meet Lincon and the team again to track down Scilla.

Great last episode before the break
I am really surprised at Michael and Lincons mother being alive and brought into the story
However I kinda feel the story is getting very strained now, it seems the writers just don't know where to go. Hopefully it will come back after the break with a good end to the season and the show

Spike
13-01-2009, 07:28 PM

We all saw it coming and it has lasted its run and this season I think sees a natural conclusion but still sad to see it go

awwwwwwwwwww. Still sad though *sniff*

14-01-2009, 02:25 PM
I agree with you Spike, on all your points above. I think bringing the boys' mother into the storyline is beyond ridiculous, and there are far too many characters in it now. I hope the writing is plausible enough for the show to go out with a bang.

I'm sorry to see it go, but not shocked and the time is right.

Spike

Few bits on information on the rest of season 4
- 6 episode plus a 2hour special will air. However we don't know if this 2 hour special will air after the 6 episode, in the summer or at the start of next season
- The 6 episodes start on April 17th in America so the UK should get them the following week
- 2 characters will return, they areKellerman and C-Note

Is anyone up to speed with this. I watched the eppy from last week, and it was diabolical.

I used to love this show, but it's dying on it's arse in my view..

Yeah I have watched the 2 latest episodes and it is awful, its the first time that the show has been bad imo
I will continue to watch until the end but i'm not impressed with the show as much as I once was

Final 2 episode aired in US on Friday and will air in the UK next week
Apparently the last scene is set 4 years in the future

Also Sky are going to air the 2 hour special before Fox
which shows what happened over the years before the flash forward which we will have seen at the end of season 4

I'll be honest.. I didn't really think this season was up to much,, but the finale was pretty good.. especially the ending..

They cast a good one for Michael's kid.. the likeness was pretty good. It's also good closure for the show having Michael being dead. I dunno if I wanna see the 'special' showing what happens in the 4 years.. I think it's better to leave that to the imagination... Overall, it was a good way to end the show though..

Definitely don't scroll the spoiler unless you don't intend to watch the season at all.

Just watched the finale
It all seemed a little rushed and spare of the moment to get Kellerman involved so late and rap everything up
I liked the fitting endings for all the characters apart from Michaels of course
I was very sad at him being dead, should never have ended like that

It was so obvious that he was going to die in all fairness. Shame for him to die but good season finale nevertheless glad that Christina bitch died! :D

Any of y'all seen Prison Break: The Final Break?

If not, you need to watch it to understand what really happened to Michael Scofield.
