Season 4 was very well received. I think the huge mystery surrounding the Mayfair's just reminded everyone of the mystery that made the show popular in season 1. Can't wait for S5!

Yeah the show/actors are contracted until 2011. That doesn't mean there will be 7 seasons though. Unless the ratings drop a lot, it could still get cancelled. But they have improved and are still above 20 million 5 years in. It probably will end season 7! :sad:

I watched the first episode of season 5 last night and i'm not liking it
I used to love Susan but now she is completely different and I am not liking the change Gaby too. The fun side of both characters seem to have been taken away and I don't like the characters anymore
The characters what did needed changing like Bree and Lynette were kept too similar and they still don't have enough fun in them and don't get me started of Lynette's kids.
I hope it gets better soon because I was really liking the idea of skipping 5 years forwards

Nicolette Sheridan and Marc Cherry are at war!

Nicollette Sheridan has claimed that Desperate Housewives is losing its appeal.

The actress was dropped by the ABC drama series in February after playing Edie Britt for five years.

Reflecting on her time with the programme, Sheridan told TV Guide: "When the show started it was such a different beast.

"It was exciting and dangerous and funny and edgy and bizarre. It started feeling a little complacent, and that was very frustrating."

Sheridan also suggested that show creator Marc Cherry ignored her character, commenting: "When you have a jewel, why not polish it and put it out there for all to see?"

One of the Solis' aunts has fallen on hard times and looks to Gabby and Carlos for help. Lynette faces more family problems of her own.

Episode 23 - TBA - Season Finale part 1 - 27th May:
Part one of a two-hour season finale. Carlos and Gabrielle welcome Ana Solis to their family - but is she all she seems? A former resident of Wisteria Lane is now living on the streets. Gabrielle runs into this former neighbor while volunteering at the soup kitchen. A menacing thug threatens a man about one of the housewives.

Episode 23 - TBA - Season Finale Part 2 - 3rd May:
Part two of a two-hour season finale. The producers are keeping this part of the episode to themselves mostly, apart from this brief description. The mystery of Dave Williams comes to an end. Dave takes Susan on a fishing trip in order to kill her. In the last five minutes a big surprise will shock viewers.

The whole plot of the next episode in detail:

The episode begins with Edie narrating the events of her final moments. She explains that all the neighbors hear the accident and rush outside to see what all the commotion was about. As soon as they saw it was Edie, nobody moved or did anything until everyone rushed to help. Moments before the ambulence arrived, Susan whispers to Edie that she is going to make it through this and will be fine, but seconds later Edie passes away surround by all the neighbors.

The four women and Karen are asked by Dave to break the news to Edie's son Travers and give him her ashes. Along the way, each of them recall a time when Edie helped them. Susan's flashback consists of her first encounter with Edie and of Edie telling Susan that Karl was having an affair with his secretary.

Lynette recalls the time when everyone was driving her to chemo and states that none of them did it like Edie. It is Katherine's turn to drive her but Edie tells her that she will drive her. Edie takes a detour to a bar and tries to get Lynette to have tequila shots. Edie tells Lynette that she is the strongest person she knows and tells her she needs to start fighting the cancer. Edie constantly reminds Lynette that the tequila shots were what cured the cancer.

They get a flat tire and as Karen changes the tire, Bree tells them that Edie used to live in the area after leaving Wisteria Lane. She recalls, visiting Orson in prison for the first time but cannot bring herself to see him because she is disgusted by the prison. Bree finds out from a prison guard that Edie has been visiting Orson every week. Bree goes to Edie's new home and questions her intentions. Edie questions Bree on why she has not been visiting Orson. She reminds Bree that Orson went to jail for her and that he must really love her, so Edie wonders why she cannot suck it up and go visit him once a month. She decides that Orson could do much better than Bree and shows Bree out the door.

The women start wondering if Edie ever thought about her death, Gabby tells them she did and flashes back to a night out with Edie after divorcing Carlos. They go to a singles bar where they end up having a friendly competition of who can get the most swizzle sticks in one hour. After Gabby wins, Edie leaves her at the bar so Gabby finds her sitting on the swings in the park. Edie tells Gabby that her youth is going fast and that she knew she would never make it to 50. A voice in her head tells her to live it up today because she won't get many tomorrows. Gabby promises Edie that 50 years from now they will still get men to buy them drinks and be the hottest elderly women.

Once they locate Travers' room, Lynette sits him down and tells him that his mother was in a serious accident and passed away. They are surprised when Travers tells them he is fine. They try to get him to take time off from school but he tells them that Edie was never around and is a bad parent because she gave him up and abandoned him. Karen forcibly sits him down to tell a story of how Edie visited her on the anniversary of her son's death. Edie tells Karen that she knows what it is like to lose a child because she gave full custody to her ex-husband which angers Karen. Edie explains that for Travers to have a decent normal life, he needed to be away from her but still loves him.

Just as they are about to leave Travers' thanks them for driving all that way to tell him and they almost forget to give him the ashes. Travers tells them to keep it because they were her best friends and would know the perfect place to scatter them. Karen figures out a way to do it when a wind blows her front door open. Each woman has a small container of her ashes and scatters them in places Edie knew. They scatter them on the lawn she walked on, under the tree that gave her shade, the roses that she loved, and next to the fence she used to gossip over.

Teri Hatcher makes "Homemade scrap book"

Teri Hatcher has created a Desperate Housewives scrapbook for departing co-star Nicollette Sheridan.

Earlier this year, Sheridan announced that she was leaving the ABC series at the end of season five.

Praising the actress's performances as Edie Brit, Hatcher told Us Weekly: "She will definitely be missed. I think she is irreplaceable, but I do think that a neighbourhood, kind of like an ER, is a place where people rotate through.

"There are so many great actors and so many storylines imaginable that there has to be a way to fill and surprise the audience with something new."

Speaking about the scrapbook, she added: "I pulled pictures from all the different seasons and magazine articles and quotes, shots from the awards - everything we've all done together over the five years."

James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino, also revealed that he will miss Sheridan's presence on set.

"She is so much fun, she is great," he said. "The way she handled it made it very bearable. She was so classy and funny. She made it much easier for everybody."

Meanwhile, Dana Delaney downplayed Sheridan's complaints that her character was not given enough attention by show creator Marc Cherry.

Desperate Housewives stars Teri Hatcher and James Denton have hinted at a major death in the season finale.

Discussing the final episode of the show's fifth run, Denton described the story as "really creepy".

In an interview with E! Online, the actor said of Dave's revenge on his character Mike Delfino: "It's more creepy than going after Susan. It's actually a little scarier than that."

He also revealed that he believes Dave will not make it out of the finale alive.

"I don't see how he can. What he does is so wrong," he said." I'm afraid we're going to lose another great actor because I don't know how we can keep him around.

"He's too evil. What he does is pretty despicable."

Hatcher, who plays Susan Mayer, added: "You should be worried. It's an ending with lots of peril, but it's not just Susan who's involved."

Tom wants sex, but Lynette's not into it. Lynette falls in the shower, and Carlos saves Lynette. Lynette makes sure Carlos won't tell Tom that Carlos saw her naked. Gabrielle covers for Tom's coy behavior. The women react upon learning that Gabrielle joined the garden club.

Katherine confesses to Mike, which leads to a surprising revelation. Bree's seeking a divorce, and isn't happy to learn from her lawyer that Orson will receive half her company. Bree goes to great lengths to get the best lawyer.

Lynette and Tom negotiate sex.

An unexpected visit complicates Dave's life.

Jackson (Gale Harold) is back with a proposal for Susan. Katherine deceives Mike to win his heart.

Bree hides her true intentions from Orson.

Someone who witnessed Dave's misdeeds could get him into trouble.

We'll meet several members of Carlos's family, including his aunt Connie (Liz Torres). Problems develop between Carlos, Gabrielle, and his family.

Katherine hides the truth from Mike. Mike and Katherine get good news.

Susan wants to marry Jackson (Gale Harold) to avoid his deportation, but the arrival of an INS agent complicates their plans.

An old friend of Tom's (Todd Cahoon) had plastic surgery and both he and his much younger girlfriend are happy with it. When Tom considers getting surgery himself, Lynette reacts by bringing in Bruce (Paul Ryan), a guy from her office whose plastic surgery went awry.

MAY 17 "Everybody Says Don't" 5-23 Season finale part 1

(I am fully aware that the show has already had an episode with this title in season 2, and I am sure that as soon as someone from the show remembers this, the title will change. But this is what ABC's schedule lists it as for now.)

The first hour of the season finale airs from 9-10.

We'll meet Carlos's teenage niece Ana (Maiara Walsh). Look for her to be a series regular next season.

A former resident of Wisteria Lane (who we've never met before) is now living on the streets. Gabrielle runs into the former neighbor while volunteering at the soup kitchen.

A menacing thug threatens Orson to stay away from Bree.

MAY 17 "If It's Only in Your Head" 5-24 Season finale part 2

Lynette's pregnant.

Lily Tomlin is back as Mrs. McCluskey's sister Roberta. Dave's finally ready to have his revenge. Before Mike and Katherine can elope, he's called away to deal with an emergency. The mystery comes to an end.

The second hour of the season finale airs from 10-11.

In the last five minutes, a major character from seasons 1-2 returns for a big surprise. (Early in this season, Marc Cherry said he had an idea about bringing back one of the following: Paul, Zach, Felicia, or Betty. Paul, Zach, and Felicia are the only 3 characters I can think of who played major roles in both seasons 1 and 2. So is he fulfilling this spoiler?)

May 24 The show is preempted by the limited series Diamonds.

June 21 The show is preempted by part 1 of the limited series Impact.

June 28 The show is preempted by part 2 of the limited series Impact.

Dave's going to kidnap someone. Considering he's seeking revenge for the death of his wife and daughter, there's a strong possibility that MJ's in danger.

One of the housewives considers killing her love interest. We don't know if this is "hire a hitman" or "musing to herself about how she wishes he was dead."

Bree starts something with Susan's first husband, Karl (Richard Burgi)!

ABC has picked up the show for a sixth season.

Julie (Andrea Bowen) will reportedly return.

Maiara Walsh continues to be a series regular as Gabrielle's niece Ana.

The show is now expected to run through season 9. In other words, the show might sign off in May of 2013. DH creator Marc Cherry has talked before about wanting to do a series called Vicious Cheerleaders but with DH possibly running two years beyond his previous expectations of seven years, who knows if Vicious Cheerleaders will ever see the light of day.

There is rumours going around that it could be Rex Van De Kamp. Apparantly, the ABC forums are saying that there never was an actual body of Rex, apart from that "fake" looking one. I think it's completely stupid...but then again...i wouldn't put it past DH.

More rumours regarding cast returns in season 6

Bree is rumoured to start a relationship with Karl Mayer in season 6, so it's likely that he'll return as a main character, rather than a special guest. Also, according to rumours, Kyle MacLachlan who plays Orson hasn't agreed to return for season 6 yet, so he may leave at the end of season 5. (It said in that other spoiler ^^^^ that a thug threatens Orson...maybe he's the "main character" to get killed?). Also, Paul Young is not returning as the actor is currently filming another TV series and is unavailable to film any scenes with DH.

Eva Longoria Parker plans to move to France.

Eva Longoria Parker is contemplating a move to France, reports say.

The Desperate Housewives star said that she would like to move from LA to husband Tony Parker’s home country, according to Extra. The basketball player was born in Belgium and raised in France.

The pair will reportedly switch residences after the ABC show reaches a conclusion.

"Tony and I will be moving to France after Desperate Housewives. Actually, after his basketball career. Not for awhile, but we'll be living there for a bit," she said.

The couple have been married since 2007.

Of course this season hasn't been as good...it followed up from a fantastic series (series 4 was awesome). It's change...some people take longer than usual to adapt to it.

Me, i just love DH and whatever happens on the series, that's fine for me :thumbs:
