View Full Version : So you find £50 on the floor...what do you do?

There's been quite a few occasions that I'm strolling down the street with my friends and one of them, (the b*stards...never me, my head's always staring up at the clouds) finds notes on the floor. From £5 to £20. And the amazingly honest people that we are, we end up using it ourselves for TAXI money.

What would you do if you found £50 (two twenties and a ten) on the floor of an empty street? (No wallet/identification)

(one time I found a £10 note but I swear it was actually mine that fell from my jeans...I still felt a bit guilty though not checking)

supernoodles!

Keep it. Money is money, no one can come back to claim it and if you didn't pick it up the next person would of.

If I saw the person who dropped it, I would hand it back

Like in HMV, I found a pound, then I saw a kid looking for something and my brain said
"Give it back"
so I did :spin:

I found £20 in town one time, I seen it fall out of the pocket of the person who dropped it but I stood on it and pretended to look at something else, then picked it up a few minutes after :joker:

It was his own fault, but if it was a female that dropped it I would have actually given it her back

Emzy-!!

Well, firstly I'd go and exchange it for Australian money and then either spend it or just keep it for whatever else.

But who are you supposed to give it to?

This actually happened to me once! Except it was $50 instead of 50 pounds because I'm an American. I asked "Excuse me, did anyone drop some money?" A man claimed it and gave me $2 as a thank you for giving it back to him. But I did feel good that I did the right thing.

Edit: Wow, I just read the other answers and I'm shocked! Don't you people have any morals? How'd you like it if you dropped 50 pounds and the person who found it decided just to keep it?
