Spelling Test

The housemates have just had a spelling test! When it was Shells turn BB announced she had passed her degree! I don't know if anyone saw this but it was a really nice thing for BB to do :thumbs:

Well Evil or not Shell had asked before she went into the house to hear her results so I thought the way they announced it was great :hugesmile:

To get back on topic Shell was told today that she passed her degree and was over the moon so over the moon she ran fully clothed straight in to the Jacuzzi

The Graduate

The housemates have sat their final exam, but one had more to celebrate than the others.

Before Shell came into the House she asked if she might be informed when her degree results were published.

And so when her turn came in this afternoon's spelling bee - the final leg of their three-day school task - she was asked to spell the word "graduate" before being informed that she was one, and one with First Class honours at that.

Shell seemed pleased - bursting into tears before running out of the Dairy Room screaming and jumping in the hot tub.

The other housemates' turns at spelling a word were marginally less eventful.


Ahmed correctly spelt "parsnip" and Jason (after flashing his bum for the benefits of his housemates watching on the plasma screen on the lounge) knew which letters made up the word "syllabus".

Not so successful was former head boy Stuart, who stumbled over the last few letters of the admittedly tricky "onomatopoeia", or Portuguese-born Nadia who omitted the second "o" from "balloon", but accepted full responsibility when her housemates assured her that being a non-native speaker of English more than pardoned her. Daniel, also, failed to spell "entrepreneur" correctly.

Victor correctly spelt "reluctant", Becki "negotiate" and Michelle "poultry".

I loved seeing Shell's reaction to the good news about her degree. And a First as well, pretty clever girl. I should have got a first, but I got a crappy 2.1 and my life just went downhill from there.:conf:

Anyway, good on ya Shell. And can I just say, without being branded a perv a la Jason, that she looks soooo hot in that school uniform. :love:

Spelling Mistake

Nadia has been in tears as her inability to spell the word "balloon" contributed to the group's failure in the spelling test.

Referring to her "balloon" blunder she spat, "It's a stupid word, I didn't get it right."

She wept as Daniel and Stuart - who also misspelled their words - gathered around her to offer consoling hugs. However, other housemates were philosophical about the failure of the test.

"Don't worry about it, man," contributed a relaxed Victor from his horizontal position on the bed.

But the implications of the task failure were playing on Nadia's mind, and the fact that they won't be getting any shopping can only mean one thing. No cigarettes.

Gesticulating wildly she yelped, "They're not going to put me in that position again!"

"It's a stupid word," she muttered again wiping her eyes as Michelle and Stuart comforted her.

As Nadia fought to compose herself, Daniel - who stumbled over the word "entrepreneur" - helped her to get the situation into perspective.

"It's not just you is it?" he said and added firmly, "It's done now - there's nothing we can do about it."

It was nice of them to tell her her results, but as they are not supposed to get any information at all relating to the outside world 'm surprised that BB allowed it - I don't think I would have if I had been in charge.
