Hypnotic regression seems to indicate re-encarnation a possibility. However there could be other explanations for people remembering so called past lives........

Not that simple. Hypnosis is not the same as a dream.

Not that simple. Hypnosis is not the same as a dream. its all in the mind.. Nothing more. Childhood dreams or even out somewhere can stay with you but you dont remember... But its still there in your brain but its how you remember the data in adulthood.

How can you dream or imagine accurate data that is perhaps 100's of years old......Some case histories have been investigated and it would be impossible for the so called dreamer to know the information given to the hypnotist.
Far fetched but there may be a genetical explanation. Knowledge is inherited......If knowlege were not inherited how come we are all given basic instincts in other words "Knowledge". Memories of past generations may be geneticaly passed on........Not an afterlife but just a memory of a long past distant relative.......

More research is needed.
Reincarnation is a tricky thing. So many different religions tell us so many different things about what happens to you after death that devout Christians could be completely wrong or devout Hindus could be completely wrong.
All of it's a bit tricky to me. Reincarnation could be a possibility but I'm still completely uncertain, and I will probably always be until I'm dead. I'm not a deeply religious Christian, I am one, but I'm open to possibilities and I'm not like one of those people you'd see in "Jesus Camp" (ridiculous!)
I'll stop about religion now. To sum it all up: I don't know.

Hebrews 9:27 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews%209:27&version=31)
Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment
So basically no

There used to be a programme on ITV1 (Have I Been Here Before?) who used to investigate things like that and a lot of the things they were told turned out to be real (such as birth certificates etc)

Yes I saw that series but it was a pity they only regressed celebrities instead of everyday folk.....Celebrities in general have vivid personalities and are thus likely to come up with imagined material.
Indeed there were some experiences dificult to explain but also some that were clearly not accurate....This is why I tend to think along the lines of somehow people having a hidden genetical inheritance of memory from past relatives....Just a theory........
One of the most mystifying things about some of the regretions is the way some talk as they would have talked centuries ago.......Almosy as if the person they claim to be was still alive.....
