JADE Goody is going in an Indian Big Brother house — to make amends for last year’s race scandal.
The loudmouth is due to fly to Mumbai today to prepare for the show’s weekend launch.
She is expected to enter the house on Sunday — and is believed to be earning a whopping £100,000.
The show — called Bigg Boss — is hosted by Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, 33, who was targeted in the Celebrity Big Brother race storm. Jade, 27, has told her family she could be away for THREE MONTHS. And the mum of two — who had hospital tests earlier this month after a mystery collapse at home in Upshire, Essex — told pals she is nervous about appearing.
A source said: “Jade wasn’t sure when she was first approached because she was worried about how the Indian housemates and public might react.
“She was really upset about everything that happened after the scandal last year. People in India were burning effigies of her in the street.
“But she really wants to clear her name and prove to everyone that she’s not a racist.”
In 2007 Jade, wannabe wag Danielle Lloyd and former S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara were accused of making racist comments about fellow housemate Shilpa — who went on to win the show.
Jade was caught on camera calling her “Shilpa Poppadom”. TV watchdog Ofcom received more than 50,000 complaints from viewers and Channel 4 was severely blasted over the incident.
In her interview with host Davina McCall immediately after her exit, Jade said she was “disgusted with herself” after watching a video but denied she was racist.
Twelve Indian personalities will join her on the show, which is based closely on Celebrity BB. But because of the country’s conservative values producers will tone down any sexual aspects.
