But yes your right, they did when they were alive. But my grandparents where raised in a less multi cultural society and therefor their views were very different

I only have one left, and kind of. She doesn't mean to be racist, homophobic, it's just she doesn't have much kind of knowledge on it all. She say's things meaning it nicely, but it comes out wrong! LOL.

I see what you mean but I guess it's only because they are from the 'Old School' and do not follow the same rules and ideas as we do about racism and stuff like this. They are still in the 50's when everything was black or white.

Not had much problem with my Grand Parents although I was only young when I saw them last(they lived in Jamaica), I know they were always proud of what they considered the "motherland" Britain.
My Granfather actually tried to qualify as a pilot for the air force to fight for Britain but he was discharged as his eye sight was not quite good enough, he had a "sleepy eye"

I remember when I met Andys Grand parents for the first time and with there accents they sounded funny and hard to understand.
His Grand father was telling us he used to get a bus that dropped him right in the town centre near the Black Bast***s.
I almost choked on my tea and scone untill Andy quickly translated that he meant the new video shop, Blockbusters.
After that day I always made sure I sat closer to him and listened very carefully :whistle::joker:

*edit, yep and all 4 of our Grand parents are dead now, the last was my Gran who made it to June 2000 and died aged 91
