We give tasty BB7 egg-boiler Glyn Wise a grilling...

Hunky Welsh lifeguard Glyn came runner-up in Big Brother 6, winning over the laydeez with his amazing kitchen skills and mesmeric hair-dyeing. Since then, he's taken a gap year and conquered the world, jazzed up lots of Welsh TV and radio shows, been turned into a rude cartoon, and even written his autobiography at the ancient and decrepit age of 19. Corblimey! We bribed him with funky hair dye to spill the beans (just like he did in the House)...

Q: Have you been glued to this year's Big Brother like a superglue?

Big Brother 9 has been awesome. From the beginning, I loved it when everybody walked in, it was proper good. Mario and Lisa and Steph and all that rigmarole - from the first week, it's just been awesome. I'm sad that Luke and Bex have gone though, especially Bex - she was the one that made it.

Q: You didn't fancy her, did you?

A: Ha ha, no! Well, dunno...

Q: You did!

A: I'm saying nothing! Her personality was great.

Q: How does this year's Big Brother compare to other series?

A: I think that this year's Big Brother is a lot better than last year's. You've gone out with excellent characters, you can hate some people and really like others.

My favourites are Lisa, Mikey and Sara: Lisa because she's the only one who actually stands up to Rex, and I think she coped with the Mario situation very well. Sara, because she's just 100% entertainment, she's just gullible and funny. And Mikey is my out and out favourite.

Q: If you had to stick your life savings on one housemate to win, who would it be?

A: It'd definitely be Mikey. When he went round as Head of House, throwing water on everyone, that was just hilarious. And have you seen Silence of the Lambs? When he was eating the chillis and they were too hot, he reminded me of that! I like that he's direct and that people are scared of him. He's the only one in the House with balls.

Q: Not Kathreya? A: I hate Kathreya!

Q: You hate Kathreya?! I've never heard anybody say that before!

A: She's the biggest gimp you can find.

Q: What do you mean by 'gimp'?

A: A gimp is somebody who's pretending to be something that they're not. I find Kathreya so irritating. I think she's very false and very intelligent. She's just playing the viewers, and all this 'Happy House' stuff... Luke and Bex were saying that she gets the cookies out just to get attention. Sometimes you can see she's getting moody, but she doesn't want to let on.

Q: What about Rachel?

A: You know, even though I'm Welsh and I'm meant to be rooting for her, I just can't be bothered with her. And the eviction this week [between Rachel and Stuart] is just like, 'Oh, just get both of them out! Who cares?' I actually like to hate Rex. He's like Gordon Ramsay: he's so rude, and that's why people like him so much. I just like chefs anyway - they're so abrupt and spoilt, they've got this attitude that they're the best.

Q: If all the BB9 housemates were drowning, who would you save last?

Mohamed. He's the worst Big Brother housemate in the history of Big Brother.

Q: Worse than Gos?

A: Well, I dunno! Do you remember that Vanessa as well? They're characters who go in there, and there's just nothing. I'm like, 'Why are you in there? You bring nothing to the table! You've got no personality, you're not fun. All Mohamed does is sleep and eat. He's avoiding any entertainment at all. Like, I want Rex to get to the final because he's entertaining, though I don't want him to win at all.

Q: Which female BB9 housemate would you not kick out of bed even if you were late for lifeguard duty?

A: Sylvia. Shame about her personality.

Q: And if you were going on personality, who would you choose?

A: Sara.

Q: Are you single at the moment or proper loved-up?

A: Well, I'm starting university, so I want to be single. I've cut all my ties with everyone! I was dating someone before that, but now I'm starting university I want to be single, have some fun and not feel any guilt.

Q: It's been two years since you wowed the nation with your culinary expertise. Do you look back on your time in the House and think it was eggcellent, or do you have a chip on your shoulder?

A: My time in the Big Brother House was the best time of my entire life, right through from the audition process, through my time in the House, to what came afterwards. I'd advise anyone to do it. It's just amazing, and I'm really proud of the fact that I was in there for three months. Not at one point was I thinking, 'I want to go home'. I was thinking, 'I could live here, my Mum and Dad could just come and see me once a year'.

Q: If you had the chance, would you be back in the BB House quicker than Speedy Gonzales, or would you rather be eaten by his nemesis Sylvester?

A: I'd walk in there any minute, at any point of any day. I had so much fun!

Q: You were friends in the House with Imogen (the only housemate to be named after a John Lennon song). Have you had a French polish at her nail bar yet?

A: No, but I went to the launch party, and Aisleyne was there as well, so we had a really good laugh. And yeah, she phones me up a lot.

Q: During your time in the House, you also had a big crush on Lea. Can you keep us abreast of your feelings for her now?

A: She's a lovely person, and I'd still hook up with her. I think she's perfect.

Q: Are you still in touch with any of the other BB7 housemates?

A: Just Imogen, Richard, Lea and Jennie.

Q: You were a big "team player" in the House. Would you revel in this year's BB Tasks, or should the producers be taken to task?

A: The producers have come up with amazing stuff. You know when Mario was marrying Steph? I would have been like, 'Yeah, we're getting married' and everything! I would have been stuck into it. I thought they were rubbish. And the Heaven and Hell thing as well - I'd be there trying to be the Head of House.

Q: Last year you published an autobiography called Glyn Wise's Big Year. Do you think you'll write another?

A: Well, I'm doing Welsh at university, so maybe I'll write a script in Welsh for S4C, the Welsh Channel 4. But I've got no plans to write another book just yet!
