View Full Version : Putting rules at the top of each thread?

Right, I don't want to point any fingers or anything, but there are alot of new members who don't follow the rules and tend to insult other members and/or overuse caps, so I was thinking of a way that they may have to read the rules.

Then I thought, is there any way that you could put the basics of the rules at the top of each thread?

This might come across as annoying having to scroll down to see the thread I know, but it could keep the place more orderly if people have the rules in their faces more.

The rules wouldn't have to be long winded I suppose, they could just be bulletpoints using limited amounts of words so it doesn't corrupt the whole page.

Anybodies thoughts on this?

Thanks.

Or it could just be displayed to members with under 200 posts?

Good idea, but I don't know if they'd be able to do that just to them.

Maybe a link to the rules instead? I could imagine the rules in full taking up a bit of space.

Having the rules up at the top of every thread would be a waste of bandwidth and besides you agree to the rules when you sign up and beside we have Mods/Admin to make sure people stick to them
