Devil worshipping

I think that anyone who chooses to worship the anti-christ ie: Devil, Lucifer..... has to be some sick individual really.

I can understand somebody choosing to be aitheist or a true believer in their god, whoever he, she, what is? But to actually turn to the Devil and pray and worship that is disgusting.

Any Devilworshippers here, I hope not?

I'm not religious in the slightest but couldn't other people say that Christianity is disgusting for starting the crusades and burning and maiming thousands of women for no apparent reason?

If you think about it Religion in general is the cause for a lot of trouble and strife in this world. You don't hear of many wars being fought over devil worshipping! :joker:

But I think generally the world would be better off without religion.

I was assuming that as you have heard about it, you may have read in your local paper something along the lines of how the council will deal with these deadly Devilworshippers.

Who are we to judge ones beliefs? Someone else might think that worshipping God (in the Christian form, for example) might be equally sick and weird.

Anyway, to worship the devil takes someone to accept Christianity, since the "devil" in its current form was 'invented' by Christianity.

I am not saying that it is wrong just because I say so. I would have (without doubt) assumed quite well that a massive majority of the British public alone would consider the worship of the anti-christ to be a bad decision to make.

I agree that there shall be a minority of people who will (without doubt) believe that the worship of God and Jesus to be quite ridiculous. Not that I share that view, as I'm a believer of such things, but not actually a practising christian.

I'm not really looking to understand the connection between christianity and Devil worship and I doubt that most anyone who worships the devil will either.

As far as I know, general practising devil worshippers are not violent and do not commit sacrifices like the general misconceptions of it suggest. So why is it wrong?

Perhaps the perception of Devil worship is what people think of from watching films like the Omen and the Exorcist. Even the theme tune to the X-Factor, (Camina Burana - Karl Orff, I think his name is?) is hinting to us watching that there is something quite devilish about it all. Well, thats just Simon :tongue: But seriously, it is just how people perceive it and from that perception alone, the actual thought of someone worshipping the Devil will be the worst taboo of all.

I think it's like I say above. Most people don't like something which they don't understand and also the tie-in with those fictional movies, which is silly I realise.

But there is also the faith and belief in God/Jesus and worshipping the opposite of God/Jesus, ie: Devil/anti-christ would be like a Buddhist worshipping the god of war.

I know it was labelled wrong, but today Gay is very much a part of every day life and Celebrities such as Elton John have brought it upto what it is today, but the same can't be said about Devilworshipping, as that in my opinion shall continue to remain something which the majority shall keep at bay

Have you heard the Devils side of the story? The constant pain he lives in. The people he has to mix with, being given great powers by God and then being berated for using them. That has to suck. Legitimate, modern Satanists do not worship the devil at all. They are atheists who profess that all religion is theatre, but they are the only ones to admit it. They use 'Satan' as a mere metaphor to represent the darker side of human impulse.

It is more a philosophy than a theistic religion per say. Actual, honest to god people who worship an actual, honest to god, three headed beast under the ground are all but extinct, showing up in Take A Break magazine once every four years with some ''Danny shaved the symbol of baphomet into my cat, Tabby Tummy!'' story.

They have an official website, if you want to find out more. I personaly believe you can practise everything they profess without signing up, which makes it a useless endevour, but it is interesting stuff nontheless.
