View Full Version : Anyone else think BB9 has turned out to be a bore

It started of great, and had lots of dramatic moments, but since the eviction of all the major characters like Stephany, Jenniffer, Bex, Alex, Sylvia, Dale, the show has gone down, and theres hardly been any drama.
I do personally but most people on the forum like it that way... which is beyond me.

I still think its great, Nicole and Rex make it entertaining, even tho i don't like him. Everyone bitching about Kat and Rachel is funny too!

Agreed 100%.........Worst series ever...........One gang picking off predictable victims....Like you say no drama only gimmicky tasks which are no substitute for volatile human relations.....

That's what happens when you evict the entertaining characters, but despite the line up we've been left with I'd still rate it as one of my top three series.

At the start i thought to myself "this series is going to be amazing" but every single week the best characters were voted out or removed Steph alex dennis sylvia jen mario belinda bex and luke (some could even say dale and stu)... If i had my way steph bex luke jen and sylvia wouldve been the top 6... but now the series is just crap and boring i cant even talk about it to my friends anymore its that rubbish and ive never thought that about any BB!

I think overall it has been a fantastic series and a million times better then last year. But over the past three weeks it has taken a nose dive as now we have lost a lot of the big characters. Rex, Nicole, Mikey and Kathreya are the only four housemates left that give us big storylines worth watching - and it will leave us with only three housemates left after Friday.
Mohamed, Rachel, Sara and as much as I like her, Lisa, don't bring enough to the show imo. Exhousemates left Sylvia, Jennifer, Mario and Bex gave us much more to watch during their time in the house then Mo and Rachel ever have.

It's took a nose dive, mainly due to the 'happy house' scheme. Too many big characters have been voted out and chances are we'll be losing Rex and Nicole on Friday too. We'll lose Sara and then it'll be a b block finale, just as Kathreya and Darnell planned.

How true! Kat, Mo, Darnell and Rachel should have been the first ones evicted! Kat and Rachel act like silly little schoolgirls, Darnell turns against anyone who doesnt suck up to him and there is nothing to say about Mo apart from :yuk:. And How can Kat and Rachel say that Lisa has been awful to them? Have I missed something? I have never seen Lisa be awful to anyone. She is a bit dippy but definately not a nasty person. :conf2:

To me, this has possibly been the best year ever.
The 'dramatic' moments are sometimes the least interesting .. personally, I hate watching people having screaming matches, or blah-de-blah mass food fights.
The fascination of bb is in the tiny things ... two peoples' random conversation on the sofa, which reveals so much about them ...
The way they form groups, and cope as a group with this whole situation. That is why it is good tv, I reckon.

For me, it's been a very "bad luck" series for the females, and more of a Male dominated house...i think all the entertaining characters have left too early...I personally don't watch it no more, i watched last night's eviction...but that was it since Bex was evicted. I really can't stand the series...and...i do think it's been worse than BB8.

yeah! it started out with like a really good lot of hosuemates but everyweek we got rid of an enertaining one!
now all we have left is boring boring boring house boring house boring house!
only lisa sara and mikey are the only good ones left! oh and rex!
it would be better with luke, bex, dale , stuart, mario and even jennifer and sylvia! basically everyone thats went!!

yeah a lot of the big characters have gone, but theres not really any minor characters left, they all have some stories going on
and i think bb9 has been excellent
it was probably at its worst at around week 6

No. I really like this year. The beginning was better. but it usually is with all series.
But if Darnell or Michael win, its a waste. THEY ARE BORING.

I'm really enjoying it still. It feels like a completely different show to the one that started in June.

For all of you who think its been the best series ever what series have you watched from 8?...
And whoever says the ones evicted couldnt have been that entertaining if they are voted out, they are evicted because they annoyed people it was still entertainment but on a different level!
I so hope kat goes before the final!

The wrong winner could ruin this series for many people. Rachel would be the worst, but I don't want Mikey winning either - or Kat or Darnell.
Out of those remaining I personally want Rex to Win - however much of a tosser he's been at times, he's always been entertaining with it - and quite upfront in his views, unlike a certain Darnell who I just don't understand how he isn't public enemy number one. Hopefully those who haven't seen his sly, vile, gameplaying ways yet will do this weekend - how he has treated Sara this week has been dispicable, and now he's turned on Kat.
That said, that is now providing the hook for me to watch this last couple of weeks because as Luke predicted weeks ago the clique who so wanted to be together in the final week really are beginning to turn on each other.
From the production point of view though I can't fault how this series has been handled. The tasks have been great, the twist of Head of House has been subtly introduced without compromising the format and the producers haven't been scared of the eviction process, even though this year it might have benefited from a bit more tampering.
I do think though how the shows are put together could be vastly improved - mainly by shutting Marcus up and letting the pictures doing the talking. The nominations show is a complete mess too - however many HMs there are there is no excuse for not showing all the nominations, especially when the ones they do show are mixed in with fairly irrelevant scenes of the other HMs and pointless recaps from Marcus.
And finally a bit more support from C4 would be nice. The eviction shows need to be one 90-minute show so they get the ratings they deserve, while streaming on E4 needs to rise back to the levels of previous series, with the online feed restored for those without access to the interactive feed on Sky/Virgin.

It was brilliant for the first 8 weeks, but after Luke got evicted all the big characters were gone. So of course it was going to get boring and thats the reason why the series should be only 10 weeks long because by the time all the big characters are out its near enough the finale.
Last week was really boring and I haven't been watching as much but the last few days have got alot better.
It reminds me of BB7 abit, the last third of both series got boring.
The production of the series had been brilliant, they have listened to fans and have given us what we wanted, not just threw in a twist every week to save favourites or keep the series amazing throughout.
I have really enjoyed this series, best series since BB6 but next year the show needs to be reduced by about 3 weeks so when it does get boring as ever series does it doesn't really matter.
