Well done
Look out for weigh and saves and cheap food stores, on a student budget you will need to. That is what I did when I was at Uni.

Nah,I only like 50 mins away,so I'm staying put for now. Most people over here tend to stay at home, well most people in Dublin anyway.

I'm sure it will be hard work. I don't like hard work, so "I'm out" as the Dragons say in Dragons Den when their not going to invest

How can someone going to uni cheer you up?
Being virtually housebound I get so tired and despondent of reading and seeing young people who make the news through acts of violence. Hearing this and so many other young students that have done so well does make me happy that the young are in the news for the right reasons.
Evan without my personal circumstances, the real question here is why wouldnt good news like this NOT cheer anybody up?

I was going to say, that's a long daily commute, then I re-read it was 50 minutes not 50 miles

I'm sorry to hear that you are virtually housebound. That must get very frustrating especially when naked bungee jumping is such the in-thing

I agree that somebody trying to make good out of their life is a great thing and going to uni is a great way to start.
For the real decent well paid jobs you really need the right qualifications and experience.

I was just reading the prospectus and kept coming across words like city centre, largest libraby in Ireland,25m swimming pool and so forward and thats made me worse

And yep everything is free. University in Ireland hasn't got any fees besides an entrance fee and the books.
