Its probably a good thing not to care what people think of you. However, Ahmed is just playing a silly game (trying to stay in the house) which is going to backfire on him. In a situation like this you can't afford to alienate your fellow HM.

Ahmed is an absolute legend and is the only one in there being himself completely free of bulls**t. People say he's being selfish and only thinking of himself....they are ALL only thinking of themselves. Jason and Michelle are back stabbing everyone with the task. Dan's little charade in the diary room was pathetic and acted out dramatically purely to gain audience support. Dan is a snide, two-faced pr*ck while Ahmed is being honest and open to everyone's faces. They'll all change their tune when they fail the task and realise J and Michelle are up for eviction thanks to him.....
On top of this, Ahmed is also superb entertainment :bouncy:

Yea, Stu, and also Shell are very very boring housemates. (sorry Stu Fans) (are there any Shell fans?) I like Nadia, so I won't say she's boring. I could really have fun talking with her. Ahmed, although broken, and totally angry all the time, is very entertaining to watch. I find comfort in Ahmed's discomfort. I particularly dislike Ahmed because of his rampant sexism. R.O.B.'s skit gets to the heart of the problem "Ah will not be spoken to like this, especially by woman who do you think you are?".

Apart from his (mistaken) belief that Jason is his 'friend', Ahmed focused all his ire upon Michelle soley due to the fact that he is institutionalised into thinking of women as lesser creatures. This has manifested itself upon numerous occasions - most noteably in his exchanges with Shell previously. Whether it is a personal character trait or a 'cultura'l one, it is definitely not acceptable.

As to the argument that he should be kept in for his alledged 'entertainment value' - I think, in Ahmed's case, this somewhat dubious quality is well past it's sell-by date.

Fair enough, he brings it on himself by being incredibly selfish and his excuse that he is ill is a joke. I can see why people hate that but I happen to find his stubborn-ness and refusal to compromise very funny.

But the fact is that he is seen as an outsider by most of the group (mostly down to his lack of socialising, esp. first 2 weeks) and also an easy target.
He is also the only JC that people are willing to stand up to, cos most of them are scared of J and V.
His point about Michelle after they found out yesterday was exactly right. Victor also pointed out that had he thrown the flip-flop (minor, yes, but insulting in muslim culture - as someone has mentioned) a lot more would've made by the other HM.
Keep Ahmed in, he's entertaining.
