Random Compliment From Strangers

Ever receive one?

Being hit on by a stranger at a club doesn't count. I mean, random people on the street, just stopping you to compliment you on something.

I was walking by GAP and this blonde girl starts to stare and I'm thinking "looks familiar, did I see her on Friday?". She says something to me, but I can't hear so I take my headphones out and she repeats, "I like your hair, it's really cool".

I just smiled to show them off and said no!

ive had - ''excuse me, how tall are you ? , you should join the police BOY ! '' from older people before when im shopping, and im just like ''yeah thats nice'' (smile and nod) LOL

and ive had '' are you brittish ? , you look so tanned ! '' which i quess is a compliment, but its really annoying -.-

I've had lots of "aww, isn't he nice doing the shopping for his mam?" a lot of times (one randomer even gave me a £2 coin for it, lmao). No real compliments though :tongue:

This man the other day come up to me and i had a summer dress on and he was like 'You have a fantastic shape .. fantastic shape' and i was just like 'erm.. thankyou' and then he kept looking back. And i often get isnt she a lovley girl. And another time somebody just came up to me and said happy bday to me when i was holding a bday prezzy bag. But im not sure if that counts as a compliment. x

Theres alot of perves in Brixton and one time i was walking down the road and this 30 looking year old man come up to me and asked me for my number so i said no and then he asked me why and i just said because. Im not rude but i was a bit scared. So he was like whats your name so i said Tina and then he said he wanted to take me to west end for a drink and stuff so i was thinking omg is this man serious. And then i carried on walking and he said will you and i said no again and he asked me why and i said because im a 15 year old girl!! and then he said it didnt matter so i crossed over to get more harassment from the local butchers :bawling: x

I don't get complimented so much, but do random men in cars screaming and shouting and following me about count? I suppose they do shout complements, but it's quite difficult to hear. The other day I was severely hungover and dressed like a tramp, and a group of guys slowed down to walking pace and followed me until they got to the lights. SO embarassing

Haha, I get that when I'm running( in shorts). I'm either thinking "Do I know you?" cos I'm almost always wearing my headphones so all I hear is something muffled. But I can see them poking their heads out the window trying to say something.

I think it's a nice thing to get a random compliment. I might just start doing it to others.

I hate getting compliments, I never know how to respond. This is ranging from "you look nice" to "well done on your results!" - my usual response is to imagine I've curled up into the foetal position. Usually I'm like "ahh thank you, now I have to leave to do something else."

So there's someone constantly hitting on me at the moment over MSN and I never reply, not because I'm an asshole, but because I'm sitting there like :shocked: the whole time.
