Here's my site: http://richardbransonfan.com/

Does anyone have any tips on how I could make it load faster?

[Note: Deleted the old one because I accidentally made it a poll.]

Who's Richard Branson? He looks familiar.

Anyway, try not to have to many graphics/text and I think a good bandwidth also has something to do with it.

I would advise http://www.moonfruit.com. It's as easy as making a bebo page, but it has the flexibility of most other website makers.

Sure did, from start to finish.

I've even optimized everything to load as quickly as possible.

The home page only has 3 images on it.

I'm just not sure what to do.

Thank you Conor, but I don't really want to start from scratch again. It took me a long time to build that site.

I guess I could take some of the graphics off, but then it would look really empty.

What do you mean why? Because he's amazing and accomplishes more each day than most people will in their entire lives. He's done so much good and helped so many people.

Well most people have a fansite on Rihanna or Lindsay Lohan - not the president of Virgin.

Lol, that's hilarious. If I met Richard Branson, everyone would know. I'd even have t-shirts made.

Would you mind checking my site for me? I just made the banner much smaller so I'm hoping that it will load faster now.

It's not small enough unfortunately.

I just checked it's file size, and the figure I got was 1,967,220 bytes.

The banner on my site, by comparison, is 34,289 bytes.

You need to tweak your file sizes. Try saving it as a JPEG (.jpg) - that allows a greater level of compression.

OK, to help, I've tried compressing it for you.

I've saved it as a JPEG, and it's file size is 52,190 bytes - that's 1,915,030 bytes less than your PNG version.

In addition, there is no noticeable quality loss.

You can find it here: http://i38.tinypic.com/2wp4ah0.jpg

I hope I'm not intruding or anything, but I've also done the other two images on your homepage:

http://i38.tinypic.com/o0e5n4.jpg
(Original size 607,665 bytes - New size 32,613 bytes - Difference: 575,052 bytes)

http://i34.tinypic.com/72r2u0.jpg
(Original size 753,639 bytes - New size 45,611 bytes - Difference: 708,028 bytes)

Thank you Matt!

The site loads so much faster now.

Now RB's fans won't get impatient and leave before even seeing the site. Lol.

Thank you again!
