Bruv bosses have set up a swanky Italian eatery – Grande Fratello’s – with the bucket of saucy spaghetti.


The gang will be given just two hours to polish off the pasta.

Task: Grande Fratello's Restaurant

An Italian restaurant task is on the menu for the housemates...

Summoned to the sofas when they were enjoying some sunshine, Rex went to collect a laminate from the Diary Room.

Ever the tease, Rex returned with the laminate and opened it with a look of surprise on his face. "Oh my god," he said, "who wants to guess?"

But it was none of the above. "Today," revealed Rex, "Big Brother is going to treat housemates to a visit to the Big Brother Italian Restaurant. Shortly housemates will be provided with outfits for the visit to Grande Fratello's Italian Restaurant."


"I love Italian food!" squealed Rachel.

"What does Grande Fratello mean?" Rex asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"I know," shouted Sara, "'grande' means big."

"This is the kind of stuff you expect in the final week," said Rachel excitedly.

"I'm not entirely sure it's anything to do with food," said a worried Rex, "you know what Big Brother's like."

And with that, they collected their outsized stripey outfits and waited for further instruction.

The housemates tuck into their task without gusto...

Grande Fratello Italian Restaurant didn't offer something Antonio Carluccio would have served up. No. It was a gigantic bowl of overcooked spaghetti in tomato sauce that the housemates had just two hours to consume.

"I don't mind eating a lot if it's nice, but this is horrible," said Kathreya.

But Mikey was in heaven. "I quite like it, this is good **** -- have you got any black pepper Rachel?" he asked.

"Michael's definitely a food connoisseur," quipped Rex.

"It actually just slides down your throat, so it's quite easy to eat," remarked Sara with a straight face.

"It's good with the cheese," said Rachel, trying to convince herself.

"You're using the word 'good'?" asked Rex disbelievingly.

"We're never going to eat all that in two hours," said Lisa, "we might as well face it."

"Lisa, an elephant wouldn't eat that in two hours," replied Rex.

Amid much belching, the housemates continued to fork the spaghetti into their mouths but after half an hour they were already looking ready to spew.

Will they manage to polish the pasta?
