Well first of all, what I’m reacting on is the age old discussion about “Team Silent” as if it still was a unit ready to grab the SH project to show the world that what Climax and Double Helix are doing is counter to what the team had in mind when they created the SH universe in the dim past. This is not the case. There is no “Team Silent” in Japan weeping over some abuse inflicted by the western devs. On the contrary.
Moreover, there is no “Team Silent” anymore and there will never be again. But there is a team working in Konami Tokyo with something else. Did you think the Tokyo guys would just sit there doing nothing while British and American teams “annexed” the game development work for one of mother Konami’s major franchises? Konami is the fourth largest game publisher in the world and has interest to stay there and even improve the figures. Silent Hill is a renowned IP but it has its limits. SH:H will in many respects be the open door or the closing of the door when it comes to next-gen for the franchise. If Homecoming isn’t received well it can very well be the last instalment.
But there’s more to Konami than Winning Eleven (PES), MGS and Silent Hill!
You just wait and see.
Homecoming is the summit of what can be accomplished with the concept SH. The near future will reveal the next chapter of the horror of beyond. After ten years now something completely new will emerge. The Silent Hill horror has nourished something even grander...

I wonder if its a spin off to Silent Hill, or a brand new seires?
