Question about criminal record?

I remember last year, Sisi from Hope was removed from the competition, because it turned out she had a criminal record, and contestants weren't allowed allowed a criminal record, but this year, that girl who has had drug problems and spent time in jail was allowed to enter. Can anyone clear up why she was allowed, but not Sisi? :shrug:

It's because Sisi hadn't attended community service.

But, surely a criminal record is a criminal record, regardless of what the actual crime is?

It wasnt because she HAD a criminal record that Sisi wasnt allowed to take part - its because she still had to do her community service as she hadnt done it. Rachel has done her time and paid it back to society.

You are allowed to enter with a criminal record which your time has been done.

Sisi's was outstanding - she had yet to "make up for it", as such.
