Darnell is just pissed that he can't have whet he wants. He wants Sara and it is now obvious to him that she doesn't want him, at least not in the same way. Rather than being a man about it and dealing with it in an adult way, he's showing himself for the little child he really is. He's angry with himself for feeling the way he does about her, yet doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with it so he takes it out on her. Add to this the fact that Rex is egging him on. Its pathetic, its the way an 8 year old act. What a prick.
