FURIOUS fans have turned on Big Brother bosses for fixing the show by not booting out Darnell Swallow and Rex Newmark for bullying Sara Folino.

Telly watchdog Ofcom have launched an official investigation after more than 1,500 fans complained, criticising the show’s bosses for not axing the two lads.

They claim the verbal attack in which Sara, 27, was quizzed about her sex life, told to flash her breasts and branded a “slut” and an “ugly bitch”, amounts to sexual abuse.

And they are baffled as to why Darnell, 26, and Rex, 24, are still on the show when former housemates Alex De-Gale, 23, and Dennis McHugh, 23, were both removed when their behaviour was deemed “unacceptable”.

Yesterday, Big Brother called them both into the diary room where they were issued with official warnings.

Viewer Gaye Denyer, from Wiltshire, stormed: “I am outraged that Channel 4 have appeared to condone this behaviour by not pulling them out.

“It is an absolute disgrace. If that sort of talk happened in the workplace, Darnell and Rex would find themselves in court. I am a fan of the show, but this time they have gone too far.”

One of hundreds of text messages sent to our newsdesk from angry fans read: “Rex and Darnell r vile. Rachel humiliated and Sara vilified, bullied and abused.

“Rex eggs Darnell on. They r a nasty pair who seem 2 hate women. Channel 4 should remove them b4 the final.”

A spokeswoman for Ofcom said they had received more than 1,500 complaints and the calls were still coming in.

Darnell, who started giving Sara grief after she rejected his advances and admitted she fancied Stu, tried to defend his actions to BB.

He said: “I feel like she represents basically how my life on the outside world goes with women.

“I got annoyed or whatever, obviously she knows that I don’t think that she is an ugly bitch.

“Everything I say to her goes in one ear and out the other, unless it’s something like negative, then that has to be something that’s set in stone. I think that’s what I was miffed about.”

Later, Rex added: “Sara knows I’m only playing with her, I made it very clear. I hate bullies, I would never bully someone.”

A Channel 4 spokesman said: “Big Brother will take appropriate action where unacceptable behaviour, including bullying, can lead to offence.

“Rex has apologised to Sara, and Darnell understands that his behaviour was not acceptable.”

This is not the first time this series has been hit with an official Ofcom investigation.

More than 1,500 people logged their concerns about bully Alex De-Gale, and mouthy Scot Dennis McHugh faced a police investigation after spitting in Mohamed’s face.

With you there ... but... I'm just trying to make people see what happens when they contact ofcom.. eventually the show gets cancelled. Then no TiBB... but the biggest point I'd like to make is.. we all react to a highlight feed, even me, but I like to wait to the next's night's highlights to see what happens and one of those things was Rex and Darnell getting told off. There is one thing letting off steam.. that's why we have forums... it's another contacting ofcom

The reason why Alexandra and Dennis got ejected was by 2 things

1. Alexandra CROSSED the line by threating and making threats to ALL fellow housemates and it was aid other housemates found her "threating."
2. Dennis got ejected because he SPAT into SOMEBODY ELSE'S Face.

3. Both Darnell and Rex haven't crossed the line YET. If Darnell WILL continue bullying Sara, he will regret it, he already should as I bet he is losing Fans. I liked him, now I don't. Rex ... well, I love his sarcasm and he did apologize. Darnell didn't.

It was seriously hard viewing watching Sara get bullied, and if this is what Big Brother is like in the future...I will definitely not be watching.

Darnell on screen just makes me feel uncomfortable now, and I really feel for Sara. Shame that Darnell's ego will be boosted when Sara will be evicted on Friday (I love Sara and Lisa both!)

I was awful - I had to switch off and I am one of those that did complain. Other people - including 'celebrities' have been removed from the house for thier behaviour and I feel that the behaviour of Rex, Darnell and Mo (cider and fags for kisses - I'd bang her but she isnt gf material) is disgusting and they should all have been removed. Their smug attitudes and high 5's on the live show last night were dreadful - please dont let any of them win. :mad:

Poor Sara has the misfortune of being extremely beautiful, friendly, cheerful and pleasant. They are qualities that are alien to both Rex and Darnell. Let's face it, Rex prefers his women with orange skin, hair extensions and a bucketful of misery.
Sara will get a great career in TV after this series. Darnell will crawl back under a stone and Rex will still be picking his spots in his father's kitchen.

This whole storm in a teacup was deliberately blown up and out of all proportion by Endemol's greed for Ratings and Controversy.

As was obvious from the Highlights Show BB issued warnings to Pointy Head and Darnell on TUESDAY MORNING, however they suppressed this information although they filmed both the warnings and the reactions to them, (discussing the warnings in the Bedroom)

If the viewers had not had the wool pulled over their eyes there would not have been such fury nor would there have been any need to involve OFCOM

If there is any backlash from this it is 100% down to Endemol and their paranoia about keeping ALL information secret from viewers!

If BB were to be cancelled, Endemol are at fault for shooting themselves in the foot!:whistle:

In my opinion it was not what was said to sara or what she was called as such - it was more the whole tone which was bullying by any definition and I did not like it at all. It was mainly Darnell who crossed the line but Rex pushed him some of the way. They should have pulled Darnell out into the cooler and assessed the situation. I was amazed they let it run and I think it shows how far they will let it go to keep viewers interest.

More shocking is then that neither Rex or Darnell face eviction from nominations:mad:

Rex has always been Rex from day one...he says it like he sees it. He's very sarcastic and loves winding people up..like when KAT asked him when she tried on an outfit 'if she looked fat in it'...1 guess for what he said...YES you look very fat in that dress and she looked shocked by it *(the look on her face was soo funny).
I do the same...don't ask if you don't wanna hear it.

Rex always has a smirk on his face when he is fooling around, hence ppl can tell when he is joking, which is how Sarah knew Rex was playing around and you could tell he was concerned as when she was in the wardrobe he kept asking is she was crying, and as soon as he realised how hurt she was he apologised whihc Darnel heard and could have done the same, but did not, Darnell meant and went out of his way to insult her.
