A friendship based on a mutual love of scheming and bitching is bound to have a limited shelf life.

Last night, the rivalry between Jay and Victor cranked up a gear.

Vic told Jay that Big Brother would never set a Scottish themed task because: "The English don't like the Scots and the Scots don't like the English."

Victor lives south of the border, while Jay's Scottish. The old rivalry rears its ugly head.

Jay is obsessed with maintaining the body beautiful, but Vic says his ripped physique is not what it was since entering the House.

"Have you never been a body person?" asked Jay, cattily. He then referred to his "friend" as "Naturally stocky."

Jay suggested that he and Victor get together and play football on leaving the House. "One on one," said Victor in his best "Bring it On" voice.

"I tell you, I was a playmaker," smirked Jay referring to his talents on the pitch. "I was a greedy bastard and I've got all the tricks," he warned.

"I like you, you've got heart," patronised Victor, giving Jay a look that read: "Who do you think you are?"

Jay gave as good as he got, saying that Victor would only win if he "Slipped the goalkeeper a tenner."

Problems hark back to the first day. Jay wondered aloud if pictures of the twelve housemates entering the House would have made the tabloids. Victor reckoned that the front pages were dominated by "[Jason's] bum cheeks."

"I reckon I got the limelight there," laughed Jason. "Stealing my limelight..." tutted Victor.

I saw most of that conversation. It was very tongue in cheek. I kinda tuned out when the football topic dragged on too long though.

Anyone know why Vic was waving a white flag though?

I think the white flag is Nadia's from when they did the Silent Protest, she was waving it on Friday when Davina started to talk to the house.

I thought it might be the same one. I was just wondering if there was any special reason he was waving it? Or if he was just playing with it.

I think that the cracks in the friendship will start to shine through now that the end is getting closer
