View Full Version : Darnell Should Darnell Be Removed On Medical Grounds?

To be honest, I’ve been finding it disturbing that they’ve kept Darnell in. I genuinely believe him to be at worst mentally ill and at best in need of counselling or therapy. To keep him in the very environment which has exacerbated his condition to this extent in the first place is just plain wrong. Furthermore, the inevitable boos when he comes out could tip him over the edge.

I suspect either mild bipolar disease or the beginnings of paranoid schizophrenia (or both)* and leaving him in that environment for our amusement is not the way to deal with it. It's like asking a guy with a broken leg to keep on running.

Technically he is free to leave of his own accord. However, that's presuming he's mentally fit and rational enough to make that decision. An objective psychiatric practitioner should assess him and decide whether he should be removed.

[ *He’s also displaying classic signs of semantic pragmatic disorder, though this would almost certainly have been a pre-existing condition and is unlikely to develop at this stage in his life. ]

It's one of those cases where BB has taken advantage of a person with serious mental problems and took the risk to him and them for the sake of ratings......

What worries me is the mental state of the nation that had him as a favourite for so long and indeed many still like him......state of the nation....

Removing him now would make his condition worse......He is in there the decision to put him in there is something CH4 have to justify.....

People with a mental disorder may not recognise what is best for them.....He is like a cat fixed by a car headlights.......He will freeze and hope for the best.....Can't walk by his own choice.....

I dont think he needs to be removed.
But I do hope he manages to resolve his confidence and self esteem issues as he moves on from the BB experience.
