Trans America, Boys Don't Cry, 8 Mile, are sure to make you feel better about yourself. Personally, Mean Girls or Superbad always cheer me up. Mean Girls is the best buy ever, it's like an anti-depressant except with a better soundtrack! If you want something to distract you Zodiac is a compelling and gripping murder mystery case with some eye candy in the shape of Jake Gyllenhall (Includes nice shot of him in underwear! Gazbo=Perv).
Pay It Forward is a nice movie. It changed my perspective on the world for about a day...then I went back to being cynical.

Watch Love Actually. It makes you SO optimistic about life and your friends, and the future...it always makes me well up and feel lucky for who I can call close to me.

I was planning on doing that last Christmas, I had it rented out on Netflix (equivalent of LOVEFiLM or whatever it is) and everything...I just never had time and when it passed New Year I just never felt like it'd be as good.
I did watch The Holiday at Christmastime.

A hobo, Eddie Murphy, and a rich lawyer are played by these two owners of a law firm and trade places (without them knowing), then they turn the tables and team up to get them back.
