Heyo Tibbers :)

I started my first day of year 10 today and everyone always said it was tougher than year 9 but i didn't realise it would be THAT tough! I have to do half an hour of coursework every night just to stay on top of everything and with triple science i have to start revising nowwww! Argh I'm never going to go out again!!

Sorry, I was in need of a moan!

2nd year in college is really difficult.
We had a massive 2 hour lecture today, and it was impossible to keep up with notes, and I had a 500 word essay first day back. For people who think Performing arts is easy... are deluded lol.

Its actually probably one of the hardest subjects out there!

I personally think Mine and Kate's school are putting to much presure on us. I mean they are expecting SO much, i really don't think i can give as much as they want.. My tutor said to me i should get 9 passes!! I wa in shock! We need to beat the year 11's that just left that got like 65-70%, 6 passes! I just dont want to let anyone down..

Well you would be very surprised! We do long lessons about history and techiques... we do a hell of a lot of research. We have to run around all day and be on our feet and keep energy levels up, we have to perform in front of hundreds of people on a fortnightly basis, we have far more extra curricular activities and college can finish at 8pm... or even be on a saturday. And our home work can take up any of the rest of our spare time...
I would like to find a course where you have to have more dedication and energy than a PA course!

Well I know year 11 is probably harder lol but I'm not in year 11 and year 10 is hard for me at this present moment. And our school has such a reputation to uphold and everything and they put soo much pressure on us!! Like in science, english, art and pe all my teachers are saying they'll be seriously disapointed if i get lower than an A!! And i've got to spend soooo much time on coursework and things, especially english cause i wanna do really really well in that because it's my best subject and it's just suddenly really stressfull.

They've also made the time tables really bad!! Like tuesday and thursdays are two options that we picked all day, so mines like drama history pe and art all day, which is great but then on mondays wednesdays and fridays it's ALL science maths and english which is KILLER

What did you take?

Cause you dunt have coursework in Maths or Science and English aint much. I started DT coursework in Jan2008 and Geography in February. I don't do coursework for Spanish, German or RE either.

IT is the bitch though, starts in Yr9.

I never had much trouble with GCSE's. BTEC National Diploma on the other hand....

It'll get easier in time you just got to get used to the workload, orginisation is key for proficiency and progress!
