How many total votes are there typically?

I'm trying to figure out how much someone would have to spend to seriously alter the voting.

they never give the amount of votes, just a percentage

They don't say anymore until the show is over but I think I read that last year there was 2.5 million votes during the entire series. That is quite a bit down on what it used to be.

My thinking is that it wouldn't be feasible for Rex' dad to spend 1 million pounds voting but that he would probably be willing to spend up to 100,000 pounds voting IF he were sure it would mean Rex winning.
