Celebrity BB to return at Xmas

BOSSES at Channel 4 have commissioned a third Celebrity BB, to be shown at Christmas.

An insider confirmed: “There’s no way we can ignore the success of BB5 — and everyone enjoys making the celebs suffer.”

Ex Take That star Mark Owen won the last series in October 2002 — but it was a disaster for comic Les Dennis, who went to pieces on-air over problems in his marriage to actress Amanda Holden. They split soon after.

Celebrity Big Brother is awful.

No offence to the thread starter intended but I don't understand why they are bringing it back (if the Sun can be believed).

The only thing I can remember from both previous series is Vanessa Feltz writing on the table and cracking up slightly...

Not a huge fan of IACGMOOH but would MUCH rather watch that then celeb BB.

Just who will they get to appear? They had enough trouble last time and to be honest it was awful. It seems if something is successfull Endemol/Channel 4 will jump on the bandwagon.

Lets remember the truly awful Back to Reality - good in principle but they couldnt attract the right people. Think we will end up with Z+Z celebrities if this programme goes ahead.

I dont think they have had a good celebrity BB yet and i dont think they ever will. The teen big brother was rubbish aswell. They should just stick with normal BB upto now BB5 has been great if they can improve that ..

Why do they need celebs.!! They are false, artificial up their own rear ends and boring at the best of times Why not have a mini BB using BB contestants that didn't make it to BB5.

At least that would satisfy the craving of BB addicts for a short while.

I think the only way they can upstage this years BB next year if there is one. Is to select housemates who smoke like a chimny pot but tell them fags are denied during the whole of the series. 24 hour security gaurds armed with tranquilizer darts should then be placed behind each mirror. While the bedsit is replaced with a casualty unit.......

they should do a celeb bb but more evil than bb5 :hugesmile: but im not a big fan of celeb bb becoz they r used to hiding their emotion to the cameras so they wont be true in the bb house they will be faker than jasons tan :laugh: so i think brin on bb 6! soon ^_^

Have to agree Addict! I enoyed the first one but the second series was awful, not my cup of tea at all! I wonder what or if any celebs would do the show anyway? I'd think more celebs would be going for I'm A Celeb

I think Celeb BB would be better if they got really famous celebs to do it...like Robbie Williams, Elton John etc...that's the only way they could compete with the success of I'm A Celebrity (especially the last one).

They could only get fairly well known celebs if it was part of a high profile event like the first Celeb BB was with Comic Relief.

Otherwise, expect the D-list.

Never saw da 2nd one, but the first one was so funny! I think it all depends on what celebs go inside the house. The boring ones are, guess what, BORING! But yeah...
Anyway, i think celeb BB is a good idea, just that it hasnt really been furfilled to its fullest extent like normal BB.
