yeah I found her reaction very strange. Unlike any winner before. She confused me slightly and I'm not sure she should have won.
She was not a clear winner though, at one point it could have been her, sara or Michael as apparently there was only 1% between those 3 at one point.

100% yes! Well deserved, by far the nicest HM, not only ever, but in BB9. Rachel is up there with Samanda, Brian (BB2) Kate, Naida ect.

Rachel was genuinely shocked, and while Mikey was being interviewed you can see Rachel walking around the house in total shock, even in her best bits you can see her jumping up and down, she was smiling through that interview and couldnt stop saying thank you to everyone, I think people are just now looking for a reason to dislike Rachel more now that she won, which I find sad

HMs is not about entertainment, tallent, looks, cheeky, too much fun, arrogant, back stabber, two-face, corny, big-mouth,...etc its about someone who you can trust and has a nice personality so u can get on with in oder to share a hse and someone who wont leave u for dead lol and someone who cares.

I am absolutely over the moon.
At last a winner who is not a nasty wannabee.
Yes. We needed a genuine person rather than the housemates/past winners who have been absolute freakshows.
Not in a million years was she a deserving winner, nice girl, wasn't nasty will give her that but she's not someone you can look back and think "she made BB9", she sat on the fence from start to finish having no opinions on anything and was dull throughout. Definately not a worthy winner IMO.

Definitely the most deserving person to win in that house after all the crap she's had to put up with. She was never bitchy or nasty and she always confronted people when she had a problem with them and wasn't afraid to stick up for herself. Its so refreshing to see someone genuinely nice win big brother for a change. People may go on about her being dull but what exactly have other housemates done that makes them so entertaining?

Anyone still moaning and saying "she sat on the fence" needs a good kicking.
She stood up for herself when she needed to. Never mind her getting off the fence, you get off the bandwagon.

I don't know, i'm happy for Rachel cos she is a lovely women but thinking back she wasn't a great housemate.
Urghhhh next year, I just want a really entertaining housemate like Rebecca to win.

Well when Rex was evicted I was gutted but out of who was left then she really deserved it. I liked her from the start, she was just never my fav, but I wont begrudge her winning because she never thought she would. Her face when Davina called her name is all the proof you need of that!!

HERE! HERE!
After all the greed for money and fame that has been shown in the last few years on "reality" tv with the contestants and so-called winners, I found it extremely refreshing to see someone being rewarded for being kind, genuinely nice and positive! I can't believe the nerve of that little weasel Luke to accuse Rachel of being in it for the money! Like he wasn't? What the **** has he been doing since he was evicted?? Taking advantage of his 15 minutes of fame from BB and wracking up all the money from it! I used to somewhat like Luke, but tonight just made me feel utter disgust for him!
Way to go Rachel!
I hope it doesnt send a message to all the boring people in the UK that will think they can now win BB.

She deserved it for being the nicest housemate...
but i dont think she deserved it as it is a TV show and its supposed to entertain.. her best bits was alot of her sitting on the fence and defending that part... i dont remember much of what she did in there
so i dont think she was a good winner because she wasnt entertaining but she was one of the nicer ones in there

Nope, she didn't make me laugh or have any humour at that!
She was boring - hence why in her best bits she hardly spoke

I think she deserved it. Ok she wasn't super entertaining, but it's nice for a real genuine person who's always been lovely to everyone to win, I think she deserves it.
People like Pete, Brian etc. from other years were funny and different, but they weren't always completely nice and genuine. Rachel was, she was herself all the time (imo) and she put up with bad comments towards her. I think she definitely deserved it

Too be honest I loved Rachel but she wasn't really entertaining. But she won so best of luck to her:dance:. Only problem is next years contestants will be thinking how do they behave if they get in. We could end up with an housefull of Rachels which would make the show boring. But it seems if you are boring then you can win. what you do? I was disappointed though. Deep down I wanted Rex to win but voted for Mikey has he was funny and stood up and spoke is mind which is why he probarly got to final 5:dance:

A well deserved winner, Rachel was class, and got the most votes.
Thats a definition of deserving winner, so pleased niceness and being yourself won over mag *****s, and nasty vile creatures who thought entertainment was nothing more than being rude and provactive.
I hope this sends a message out to all that dignity, happiness and respect are charecteristics of anyone hoping to do well on future BB shows.

It depends on your definition of a deserving winner. Considering she had a .5% prescence in the best bits, virtualy no moments, and all her biggest storylines coming as a result of Rex instigating them, I would say HELL NO she does not deserve to win.

No there won't be. The point of the show is to have a variety of characters and the one who shines through wins and that happened to be rachel this year. Doesn't mean that's gonna happen next year

NO!
I was actually shocked and horrified to find out she'd won, but at least Davina showed she wouldn't give her the time of day after this series is over and she got booed too  and she probably has no future career so she'll sink right back into wherever she's from.
Pretty obvious there was much more Mikey support last night from the cheers, the reception, the interview, the banners and Davina's/the housemates impression. The annoying thing is it was more or less 1% between them!
No, after a fairly interesting series this year, the winner was the most boring person in the whole house!
I wouldn't have minded, but we had some really good characters this year. I'd have preferred any of the final housemates to have won it. Even Kat and I couldn't stand Kat, but at least she got involved and was actually part of the house.
Rachel played it safe from the get-go, never daring to rub anyone up the wrong way, never getting involved in any discussions lest she suddenly finds herself with a different opinion than anyone else.
Everyone saying how "genuine" she is is clearly easily fooled. She was afraid to show her true colours the whole time in case she offended anyone.
In a year where we actually did have some genuine housemates; Rex, Mikey, Darnell, Sara, Lisa.... We ended up with such a damp squib for a winner.
I wanted Sara to win but she deserved it in my eyes.

No way!! AND BB knows it too!! I am going to shout FIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!
They wanted a girl to win, and Sara was a little to blame for the bullying she supposedly got at times, so they were left with Rachel, heck Brian last year was more deserving and didn't think the crown was his at all...At least Mikey the disgusting perv didn't get it I suppose.
I would love to know the actual votes...no faith now. BB would not have had a show at all if it hadn't been for Rex and Darnell most of the time!!

No way! Where was she in the BB9 highlights?? NOWHERE! because she was no highlight at all and should never have won! No wonder there were boos! Even Davina thought it was mental!
SOUR GRAPES, ME THINKS, FROM SARA AND REX FANS??? RACHEL WAS THE NICEST MOST SELFLESS HOUSEMATE, IN A BUNCH OF WANNABEES AND EGOMANIACS. (MIKEY WAS A GOOD ANTI-HERO). THANKS TO ALL THE RACHEL FANS ON HERE AND OTHER SITES, WHO PUT HER TOP OF THE POLLS, DESPITE CONSTANT IDIOTIC COMMENTS FROM OTHERS, AND NO NEWSPAPER SUPPORT. SHAME ON THEM. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RACHEL AND SCRABBLE? LIKE REX AND SARA, SCRABBLE DIDN'T WIN BIG BROTHER!!!:xyxwave:
OH, AND THEY ALL GOT BOOS WHEN THEY FIRST CAME ON SCREEN!!!! WHO CARES ANYWAY??:bouncy:

NO WAY! Never did I watch an episode of BB9 and think "I can't wait to watch the next episode cause I've got to see what Rachel is up to." And I agree with the poster who said a house full of Rachels would probably be the end of Big Brother. It's sad that the star of the show is not rewarded, but everyone thinks it should be a charity and the nicest person should win? Sad indeed.
Let's see we get 16 housemates for bb10 who lie on their VTs and act like someone they are not, then all a sudden we have 16 Rachels in there admiring the insects, spouting on about Disney, and only getting excited when they get a basket of their favorite fruit. Yippee!!

The audience at the final obviously don't reflect the majority because Rachel WON. And I'm sure she'd be happy to sink back into where she's from, because unlike the other fame-hungry, moronic housemates, Rachel isn't a fame-seeking wannabe. I'm happy for Rachel and it just proves that good does prevail over evil
