You know when they go
"One persons life this will change.. " blabla, and they go "it means everything because..." I was wondering, they can't do that with EVERY person, so do they do that interview thing after they have auditioned?
As otherwise dermot would talk to average people and that'd never be aired. and they sit "alone" with a chair next to them, where Dermot goes to sit.

erm. you get me?

That'd make sense.
Most of the X-Factor audition processed is faked/disguised anyway.

Probaby, Nearly everything about the auditions are staged.

Not everyone goes to see the judges, so I guess he interviews some of them that do. You only go to the judges if you are really good, really bad or really lucky.

I bet Dermot interviews a load of people! If he misses one out that would be good he might do an interview and fake it, but I bet the most of them he interviews he might interview one in ten... then the cream of the bunch get on tv.

The producers probably have a good idea on who they want to give more screen time to
