Has anyone seen the huge list of Wannabe Big Brother Fan sites/forums listed on TBB...... Is there some sort of competition going on???

I just had a look around briefly at the other Big Brother sites.....

It seems ThisisBigBrother.com has the most posts on it. We have over 8500.....
I know lots of sites reset their posts that why we are number 1!!!

And where else can you play Who wants to be a Millionaire, read H+P stories, win BB3 eviciton night tickets and chat to some of the biggest BB fans on the net???

Hopefully ThisisBigBrother.com will retain its title by being one of the most friendliest BB sites on the net!!!

Most of them have been around in one form or another for longer than TIBB, which would make this site the wannabe...

As for the best, that is all down to interpretation - on balance I think http://www.bigbrotherwebsite.net would have to be considered the best site by any non-biased person!

The bredth of sites is good. I think there is an element of competition, but in the end most make their sites because they are fans of the show.

The quality of sites this year is very high, and I'm sure it's the visitors which will benefit in the end.

If it was a competition, though, Joe at BBUK would have it in the bag.

I'm staying here, I like this site, it's got great smileys, great avatars, and great people and good competitions. What more could anyone want. These other's are starting but won't be about in a years time I bet. :xyxwave:

TiBB is not a "wannabe" Disco. We have a built up a community of regular posters whilst we have been online and never go around spamming our URL. We let people find us and let them join. Of course we do put links in signitures every so often, but in all fairness so do you.

I understand a "wannabe" to be a fan/fansite that try to equal something else. So just exaclty what do you mean by this? Our site is completly different to everyone elses, different layout, style, members. And how can we be a "wannabe" when every so often people copy posts/comments straight of TiBB and on to their own forums?

Id appreciate if you didn't "label" our site in future.

Mark, it wasn't meant in a derogatory manner. I read Splodge's comments as almost suggesting this is the original BB fansite - which of course it isn't - and that any sites since you started up are the wannabes.

Perhaps I interpreted this wrong, but that was my understanding when I replied.

I don't know if any sites have been copying your threads, and to be honest I don't really care. You have been clear influenced by other sites though, which is fine.

Like you say, this site is different to others, but then again all sites are different. So if you don't want to be labelled, perhaps you should discourage your members labelling others.

One last thing, I don't like your tone here. I wish you and your site well - indeed during TIBB's formative days I remember helping you considerably, as did Peg and a few others. Perhaps a little more gratitude wouldn't go amiss.
