I'm going to start posting my BB10 project which I began to create durng BB9 - the house is currently a work in progress so you are open to suggestions on what you'd like to see in the house.

My BB10 project will be the standard eye/graphics/house, but depending on how things go, I might move onto housemates & twists and go in depth onto how I'd like BB10 to work. Like the house I'd love to know what you think should happen in the next series, so post your suggestions here.

I'll start with the eye - the eye has a new template and is made up of various shapes in red, orange, yellow, pink, and purple, to contrast the black of the BB9.

Here is a smaller version of the eye:

Thanks for the comments, guys (: I think because it's so bright, some won't like it ; I remember loads of people hated the BB8 eye when it was first released, though personally I liked it...

I don't know it I love or hate the eye
It different but not sure on the colours. It just doesn't look very proffesional to me but I don't know if that is good or bad for this eye

Loukas

I actually really like it! It's different and fresh!

I quite like that there's mixed feelings about it ; thanks for the comments...I've started work on a promo, I don't know if I'll make it or if it'll just be screenshots..

Hmmm, it looks a tad odd I think. Just seems a bit un-professional from previous eyes i've seen you do.

It has the marmite affect on me, you either love it or you hate it.

Weird, I prefer the first by far...I'll probably make some of the extra graphics for both and then run a poll or something maybe...

That link makes sense - I really like the 2012 logo, but everyone else hates it

Not too keen on the voting strip - light colours generally don't work too well for such graphics.

In a very open plan house, the sofas are directly on from the entrance, which is not being shown first for a reason. The sofas themselves are two corner suave black sofas, with white cushions. The area is decorated with a white carpet, although the sofas themselves are based on a purple plush carpet circle. The walls use a purple and red theme, and some have many square holes inside - some are mirrors for the camermen, and some could be used for storage. The bedroom & garden are accessible from this area, although both are accessed by glass walls, which have been shown with the blinds down in the current pictures.

Your living area looks really good overall, though I do think the area would look better if you rounded the corners on the cut out squares so it's a bit more consistant.

Also, I think a larger mirror should be incorporated.

On the whole though, it looks good - well done :)

dupin

Actually, I think you might be right about the squares, I'll try it and have a look...

Living area looks great, though I think the black sofa seems to darken up the whole room - perhaps if rather than white cushions you had various coloured ones it would brighten it all up a bit.

Yeah I agree. A few colourful cushions maybe the colours of the eye would make it look even better

Yeah, thanks for the advice - the room looks a lot brighter when the blinds are up, and when you can see the rest of the house...it is a darker than usual house though.

The dining area is located on the opposite side of the house of the living room and has a classy and expensive feel with huge 16-seated white wooden table with perspex chairs, along with gold candlesticks down it. A red carpet compliments the wood & gold metal decorations on the black and white walls. The plasma screen is in the dining area this year, and there is a black and white hatch on the opposite side of the table. The dining area feels much more like an independant part of the house than in previous houses.

It seems incredibly tacky to me, but then again, so was this years bathroom, and it grew on me over time.

I do like the artwork on the wall that the plasma screen is embedded in. That looks great.

Best dining area I have seen on here

dupin
30-09-2008, 07:48 PM
Wow, thanks for all the great comments...it's supposed to have a slightly tacky feel to it, much in the same way the BB9 bathroom did (:

I'll do the kitchen next, but I don't think it'll be for a while, I'm not happy with it at the moment...

WOW! This is great work! I really love the dining area (tbh I usually wouldn't like something like that, but you've pulled it of so well) the only thing I'm not sure on is the red. Apart from that, amazing

Oh, and can you post some overhead shots to get an idea of all the positioning?

Shaun
01-10-2008, 03:39 PM
I don't like the gold walls, but I love the general style and the dining table/chairs. Great work :)

dupin
01-10-2008, 04:49 PM
Again, thanks for the comments...none of the other parts of the house are finished at all yet, so it may be a while before I post more D:

I'll make a plan of the house soon...

... what some called "classy and expensive" others would name "tacky and cheap".

Not keen at all - having flashbacks to the VIP1 Serbia house.
